  1. I thought that too. Although in fairness Mark is not a particularly sizeable fella! He did refer to the original as, 'The Old Girl' a couple of times in Glasgow.
  2. Wow! Looks like a Passion 2 from the mid 80's. Stunning basses. This is also priced to go quickly. Tempted but must resist... Have to say, I'm very passionate about these basses (no pun intended). For me, they are some of the best basses ever built. Stunning state of the art instruments. Big love.
  3. Lol, good point. To me, I'd say the MK Status basses are more 'polite' ... the Jaydee, more like someone that's gatecrashed your party with a six-pack of Carling and then proceeded to hoover up the buffet and quaff all the Champagne! (Not sure this helps🤣)
  4. Definitely more grunt to the Jaydee!
  5. Great gig and the Jaydee sounded excellent throughout!
  6. FWIW, I owned the exact same model of Peavey featured in this discussion a number of years ago. I thought it was an excellent instrument for the money.
  7. Do you have a weight please?
  8. I'm lucky enough to own a four string version and it's beyond brilliant. I'd have this had it not been for the world going down the tubes 🤣
  9. I've always admired these. Very Alembic in my humble view. Would love to try one out.
  10. One of my all time favourites, thanks for sharing!
  11. Outstanding!
  12. My Vigier Passion 3 is without a doubt the best instrument I've owned in over 40 years of playing. I owned an Arpege in the 80's ... a close second! As for the OP's query, I'd say that although the grass is always greener on the other side, you really need the Thunderbird in your life🙂
  13. Same here! Congratulations, that's a corker
  14. You won't be disappointed!
  15. Thanks for the update. Sadly too much for my frail elderly physique. Killer bass, good luck!
  16. Stunner. Having owned one of these recently I can attest to the quality. I'd put it in the same bracket as a Wal. Weight please?
  17. I like the tone but they always feel a little bit too high tension for my feeble fretting fingers!
  18. Just a pity about the weight as I'd like this and live nearby. It'd kill my shoulder unfortunately!
  19. I love this site. Every so often something special pops up, like this bass. Temping... but I must resist.

    Lovely 😉
  21. First saw them on the 'World Piece' tour at Glasgow Apollo in 83... Awesome gig👍
  22. Personally, I think John Entwistle got it right... loud, punchy and aggressive. Turn it up or turn it off.
  23. Absolutely beautiful bass.
