I've owned three different Mexican Fenders, two Precisions and a Jazz. I've also owned a few old US models (including a cracking vintage Jazz from the early days). My honest opinion? The Mex P's were just about on a par with the US models...the Mex Jazz however was average and not quite on point (but okay once the frets were leveled and a few other nips and tucks carried out).

Great seller, bought a Fender P bass (special) - great, honest communication and fast delivery. Top bloke, highly recommended.

I can completely relate to this; my Wal custom was the best sounding bass that I have ever owned - but also one of the heaviest and uncomfortable to play. I would however love another one though ...just to confirm or negate my original findings

I bought my brand new Wal mk1 for £750 in 1986 and I would agree with almost all of the other sentiments posted by Wal owners thus far on this thread. Gorgeous inherent tone, amazing tonal flexibility, breathtaking build quality, Marmite neck ...and HEAVY!

The choice between Lakland or Fender is a no brainer in my book...

I cant comment on the ESP but the Ibanez is a fantastic instrument for the price.
