  1. If anyone saw that last post, apologies, will teach me not to read things thoroughly. Sorry for the thread hijack!!! at least I know I have a NS4-CRFM 😂
  2. Thanks cetera, I know just enough to be dangerous. 😂
  3. Hmmm.... are you 100% on that David??? i thought the NS4-CR has the Stuart Spector Designs logo, rather than the Spector logo on yours. I have what I believe is referred to as a “non LX Euro”, which is the same as this with solid maple wings and neck through with the “Spector” logo. I am just not 100% on when the cutover from one to the other is. Sorry to be an anorak, my intentions are to help as it took me ages to find a non-LX Eur as they are harder to come by. They do sound different to the “walnut sandwich” LX, not night and day but they are different 😄
  4. I was a bit meh when I first saw this, but this colour is really growing on me 😂 absolutely stunning finish, and they are just such amazing basses, I love mine!! if I didn’t already have 2, I might be looking a little closer at this one!!! GLWTS!
  5. Says the man with the worlds largest Spector collection 😂
  6. Won’t you then get stung on duty when you bring it through?? Pretty sure items like that need to be documented on the way out!
  7. Nice work mate. This is a stunner!!
  8. If this lasts the night I’ll be amazed. What a stunning example. GLWTS
  9. I do wish this would sell already... it’s painful to watch!!
  10. Can’t do divers anymore due to the weight! what are the string spacing on these?
  11. I’ll refrain from comment as I do t want to purger myself... 🤔
  12. Funny you mention it Paul, I currently have the plum stain one tuned BEAD for tonight’s gig to help with some of the songs where I used to use the low B. It is managing with standard gauge string ok, but doesn’t sound amazing. Thicker string and longer scale would sound amazing. Don’t start me GASSING!!!!

  14. I could ask a family friend, but I’m not so sure that a bass would pass through as a “gift” 😂
  15. just Run the numbers, and it’s killed the idea dead. Bloody VAT man!!!
  16. Does anyone recall what the actual shipping costs were? Just trying to get a ball park figure in my head
  17. Ok, probably around 2 years ago I bought my first stingray 5, and it was a revelation. I decided that I was going to transition to playing 5ers full time, so I sold all my basses (including my previos go to bass a Spector euro) and bought a stingray 5 HS so I would have a spare, and to have some extra versatility. These two basses have served me well, and I thought it had cured GAS, until I woke up one day after a gig with sciatic pain from my lower back through to the back of my knee 😮. It took a couple of weeks to figure out that it was only after playing gigs that this would flair up, and could only put it down to the weight of the ‘rays (10.5 lbs each five or take). So I made the drastic descision to switch back to 4 strings, and today saw these two lovely ladies arrive. I have had limited time on them tonight, but they are just amazing. The fit, feel, weight and tone are perfect, familiar but new at the same time. I am still getting used to no low B, and wider string spacing which will no doubt take a bit but so far couldn’t be happier with the choice. I had forgotten how great these basses really are!!!
  18. Thieves, the lot of em!!
  19. Thanks mate, did you organise the courier or the seller?
  20. I’m sure this thread has been done, but I’m a simple guy and can’t figure out the new search function 😄 Mods, feel free to move if not appropriate. So ive seen something, just trying to figure out how much it’s going to cost once landed here and also if anyone has organised shipping from this side (seller not keen to organise international shipping) anyone have any experience with this recently?
  21. I would quite literally kill to get this bass right now... sadly it’s out of my budget 😡
  22. Amazing basses these. I miss mine!!!
  23. Was this originally painted, or was it natural before the restoration? Do you have any pics pre resto??
