  1. At the risk of sounding ignorant, if the value of vol pots makes no difference, why does a. Mexican fender jazz have 250k and a USA fender jazz have 500k? Surely the cost between the two is negligible. I thought it was part of making the USA fenders sound better and hence justify the price tag. I know mex pickups tend to be a little hotter than their us counterparts, but are still essentially the same design. I made some mods to my Mexican jazz including gotoh bridge, dimarzio j pickups and installing 500k pots, so its gard yo know which contributed more but it destroys the previous setup, it's sounds awesome!
  2. Interparcel/TNT have just lost a mike dirnt fender bass in transit. They have told me it has been "damaged" and told me I need to make a claim. I dont know how they can determine it has been damaged if it was never delivered! Let the fighting begin!!!
  3. Hi all, has anyone out there used one of his kits? I am thinking about building a green russian muff and just wondering how authentic they sound?
  4. Hi guys has anyone had volume issues with their terror bass 1000? I am running a matamp 6x10 and I seem to get loads of volume up to about 9 o'clock position (gain set to about the same and eq pretty much flat) but I don't seem to get much more volume than that? Does that sound about right? Any help would be appreciated!
  5. Hi This is a 4 string, it's the maple/maple, I don't have access to pc today to upload pics but can email via phone if needed!
  6. In my experience, and through keeping eyes and ears open, I'd say go individual. That way you can choose the fuzz/overdrive YOU like best and same with compressor etc. it's pretty rare to see pedal boards with ALL the same brand pedals in, you mix and match to suit your sound. A multi is a great way to get lots of effects for one price, but the risk is you may like some but not all the effects you bought it for. Besides its a lot if fun buying, trying and selling on different pedals!
  7. I don't mean nut width I mean profile thickness?
  8. Hey Norm, any idea what the neck thickness is like on this ? I've read they can be a little thick (between thumb and fingers) also does this have the Duncan designed pickups or genuine seymour Duncan's?
  9. Hey there does this come with a gig bag or case? What is the action like?
