Thinking would anybody be interested in buying both the Geddy neck and body together for say £300+ postage That way all is missing would be a scratchplate and bakerlite style controls, I will include a fixing plate and screws too for the neck so it should just slot together. The body needs to be worked on to make it look nice but the bass would almost be complete, just a little project for someone.
Ok how about £275 plus postage!!! I have also located the control pots so all is needed is a scratchplate and work doing on the body (if you want)

Damaged Geddy Lee Jazz Body What it comes with: Body - in a bad state, scratches all over the back and a chunk has been taken from one side. So really could do with replacing or refinishing if you fancy stripping it down. Original Pickups Control Cavity with joining wires to pickups Badass Bridge What it doesn't come with: Scratchplate Bakerlite style control knobs Neck plate and screws MIM Jazz Neck Rosewood, finished with rolled finger edges which is nice and complete with original tuners. Comes with Fender USA logo and serial number on back which are fake. Geddy Lee Neck - maybe available Have one coming through the post with original tuners - was going to rebuild the one above but might sell. I do not know know much I should ask for the parts so let me know how much you think they are worth
Hi Smash You might be in luck. I have the Fender PUP in question, which which I bought when I was considering installing one at the bridge of my '73. I'm now having second thoughts and need to speak to the tech who was going to do the work before going ahead. I'll let you know if it's free. It looks just like the original, i.e., it has the Fender logo embossed on the chrome cover. Chris.
Chris Sounds like the kitty I am after, do you know what the spec of the pickup is? i.e. Output wise. Let me know if it is available, this combo could be a winner. Thanks Ash

What I need is a Neck pickup with lots of bass resoponse, I have a humbucker at the bridge and was going to go for a Dimarzio Will Power at the neck but these are fairly costly and hard to get hold of, I see Fender have a chrome humbucker on their Telebass Squire but I can't seem to find one anywhere for sale other than in the bass. The other route would be to use 2 Jazz pickups side by side near the neck as humbucker but not sure how this would sound and how much bass response they would give. Any suggestions?
Are you sure it isn't a US neck? I thought the serial numbers were "engraved" into the wood. Must check mine. Bit weird going to all that trouble to disguise the origin.
No it's a transfer but that one has been very well done unlike the one on the front.

Feeler here for my modified Fender Jazz Bass, I bought this from someone who has changed the logo on the headstock to say Fender Jazz USA which it is not and hasn't been put on that great to be honest, that's the bad bit. I believe this bass to be a Mexican Jazz but I cannot be 100% sure but it certainly looks like one and feels like it and the person whom I bought it from told me that he paid £450 for it. The neck has been modified to have rolled fingerboard edges which makes it a lot smoother to play and Dimarzio pickups. It might need a set up. Picture shows Badass - this has now been removed and has a standard MIM bridge. Looking for £180 + postage may px with other basses such as Status / Yamaha Attitude + cash adjustment

That does look nice, I never see them with maple necks though, then I would be using the cards. Couple of questions what are the pickups like on these BB's and can you change the bridge i.e. a swap version like Badass on Fenders without drilling?

Hi Sorry for the late replies.... Christmas etc etc
MB1. Does this just string through the bridge?.. or is it through body stringing as well?
It is strung through the bridge only.
Could it be possible to describe a bit the sound or post a soundclip ? and could you says what are the controls ?
The sound is quite similar to a Stingray but probably a bit smoother to my ears. The controls are active/passive switch, treble / bass / volume when active and volume only when passive
And how much does it weigh?
Oh I don't have a set of scales sorry about that but about the same as my Geddy Lee Jazz
Any interest in a fender hotrodded P bass? In olympic white, tort pickguard, body strung. Only a feeler though - that neck just looks stupidly sexy! Ben
Thanks Ben but only interested in another Status, thanks anyways. Infact now thinking I would love another Status so will probably go back to swaps again plus cash for that elusive Stealth, or a solid colour S2.
