It's either a new band for me or hang my boots up....... and its my birthday too nt getting any younger, rubbish. sorry folks for a low post.
stingrayfan (Matt) has, and I'm sure others have too. Good luck with the sale - I would have it if I could, love these basses!
I am now going that route with a new Jazz cannot wait to see the final result. But will probably have to fit the Tuners and Neck myself that's the worrying part.
£733 at SoundsLive. Looks like a BB NE 5 with the Nathan East quotent removed Looks really good value if it has all the same electronics. You should get an excellent sound with the p & j's as well.
Wow that is a great price, hmm if I wasn't saving for a Status Neck bass I would have a punt on one. Anyone had a noodle on one to see what it played like?

After having playing my Yamaha Attitude solidly for the past month I thought I wonder what else Yamaha have and noticed the BB2004, has anybody tried one as they look pretty good and I think (someone correct me) they have a built in NE-1 pre amp which I had in a stomp box once which was very nice.
You think it's awsome. That's the only opinion that matters. Yes , some say they look a bit '80's'. But I never hear anyone moan that old Fenders look a bit 60's or 70's !!! Funny that.
That's brilliant, I thought the same as Huggy here but its probably to do with what bands were cool when, i.e. most people think the 60's and 70's was the era of cool, Rolling Stones, Led Zepp etc etc and the basses they used were like their heroes. Mind you I would have an S2 Status headed in a heartbeat, they are wonderful basses and playability wise are like silk. I am now looking for a Status bass myself, good luck and do it.
A fine bass guitar. Sell it for around £500 and get Rob Green to put a Status neck on your Jazz, have money left over
That's pretty much what I have had in mind the last 24 hours, thinking of making my dream jazz bass, if only I was good enough to fit parts myself, has anybody sent a bass for a neck and tuners to be fitted?
Are you talking about this one: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...6&hl=status Thought from your description it'd be right up your street!
It is a nice bass just prefer the newer versions with the humbucker pickups. I think my heart is telling me to splash out £1500 on the Stealth but my brain is telling me that is just too much for an amateur like me.
i think i rememeber this selling around the £500 mark a few months ago?? lovely bass, nice that its got the collectors vibe too, and it has one of those necks have a bump
It is a wonderful bass and £500 would be the price I would sell at, its a steal of a bass so I wont sell unless I see the 4 string graphite neck bass I am after.
+1 Smash, hit me with a figure and let's talk
Well I got a bargain when I bought it so that's why I want to swao it for another status necked bass, if I sold it for the money I paid I wouldn't be able to buy another. Unless a bargain comes up I will probably keep hold of it until one does.

Right then, I never wanted to sell this brilliant Bass but as I haven't used it live it has to go. I believe keeping it in the case is pretty pointless so I am now putting it up for trade. This Groove bass was one of the last 2 ever to leave the factory, comes as active passive / switchable and runs from a single 9v battery. It has one tiny little graze on the top horn but that's about it, very good condition. Picture has been borrowed from previous basschatter, hope that's ok. Lookig at £425 plus postage no offers below this will be accepted.
HIJACKED would you be interested in buying a new amp? I presume you being after gear means after an amp! I'm after a sale on my Ashdown mag 300, and I live like 20 miles away from you! (North of Diss) Let me know what you think
Hi thanks but I am after a single cab option i.e. Epifani, Accugroove, Markbass something along thm lines.
