Smash replied to dodgnofski's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Hi Guys, Anyone have a small, light, powerful Bass Amp they would like to part with ?? ta
Hey I have an Ibanez Promethean for sale in this section, an awesome portable combo with a head that can detach to be used with other cabs, will go 500 watts @ 4ohms and the head only weighs 2.9Kg it sounds to my ears identical to my LMK -

Simple a plain old US Jazz seems to fit anything I do

Really do not want to do this as it is the best ultra portable combo I have used, but at the moment it has been used twice since new. What I need is a single cab and cash my way, something with a neo speaker, let me know what you have got, thanks. For sale at £399 + postage payment via Bank Transfer or Paypal if you pay the fees

hmm I sold mine for £375 on here but I must admit it was one of my favourite sounding cabs I had ever had.

Sad sad news, a great loss to this site, his knowledge and humour always had me gripped. I own a couple of his basses which are immaculate and will always take pride in my collection, a true gent, will be thinking of Si and his family on Wednesday.

Is it just me or is 2010 a bad year for selling?
Smash replied to Smash's topic in General Discussion
I have just found it frustrating as I haven't really bought any bargains but have sold bargains. There was a moment a few months back when I had for sale a US Fender Precision for £500 with all the trimmings and no one wanted it, then someone bought a Mex Precision for £425 2nd hand without case and I was like is my listing invisible. I know everything has its price which will sell to at the market value at that given time but sometimes you just have to sell to survive. It can be heart wrenching when you see the bass you love and saved for disappear for little money. I feel for people at the moment on little or low incomes, I had a horrible scare when my car insurance has risen by £300 this year and I have 15 years no claims and no convictions, what is the world coming to. -
I am not 100% sure I want to sell but I suppose if someone was dead interested then I should sell as I am having a terrible month financially, it is the older version without the -10db switch but is in great condition comes with box. I would be looking at £168 posted, payment via bank transfer or paypal if you pay the fees
I've got all sorts of stuff up for sale at the moment - USA Fender Precision Fretless included - I need a more sensible second car (I know that sounds decadent but the wife and I both need cars for our jobs). The tumble-weed is blowing through everywhere. I'm not even getting derisory offers, which is bad.
Exactly my point, I have had a load of gear up for sale at very reasonable prices but not even people making offers or swaps with cash, nothing. I really wished I had a load of money in the bank I would buy up all this gear and store it until a few years when hopefully the market will pick up again. -
Tell me about it, I had to let a 1212L go for £350, and even then people were asking me to take £300! Mental.
Yes Wil, I have my Schroeder 1212L for sale for a great price and no one wants it and I don't want to sell it but I have to. I finally have all the gear I have ever wanted and don't want to buy or sell anything but now I am forced to as unexpected bills keep arising. So I have to sell to survive but I don't want to sell as my dream equipment is going out the door for silly money. Bad times. -
Just realised some of my gear this past year has been going out the door way under what I normally would let things go for take a look below: Genz Benz 6.0 amp for £280 then had to pay fees USA Jazz Bass for £420 then pay fees Aguilar GS112 £145 Mexican Jazz Bass £180 then pay fees Then I have lost count on effects pedals selling them for way under the usual prices I just cannot sell anything at last years prices, am I alone in this?
