Christ that's gorgeous How does it compare to say a deluxe jazz? ie' power and tone?
Thanks Tom, not played a deluxe jazz, but one of the reasons I bought this was the great improvement in vol & tone over the Ged Jazz I had - I've never needed to use all the bass or treble boost available. The other reason I bought it was the neck... -

Righto chaps, I have [s]a hankering[/s] now hankered for a certain white 5-string Euro LX. This unfortunately means shifting this little fella. Bought as ex-demo from Bernie Goodfellow in early/mid 2008. I think Stuart Clayton may have played it once too. A fantastic player, though the poor thing has taken a back seat since the Spector arrived & only used twice in the last year, once at an outdoor festie, where I got such a great sound out of this bass and a 30-year old Peavey, I wondered why I spent all the money on other gear. The other time was at the covers band rehearsal the next day, when I forgot it was still in the gig-bag and had a nice surprise when I opened it up. If you can get to Worthing, you are welcome to come & try it.

Glossed natural finish
Satin finished maple bolt-on neck, 34" scale
2-band EBS preamp & mid-cut switch for all the slappers out there, I sometimes switch it to check it's still working
Vol, blend, B & T
No dings, 2 very minor issues - the battery cover has lost it's, er, cover, but it's nice & tight in there and it's never come out on me, which is more than the wife can say. There are also some light fingernail marks on the scratchplate under the G-string and over the neck pup. Again, very much like the wife. Price - [s]£500[/s] now £475+ delivery in s/h, but perfectly servicable ABS Stagg case [does have a couple of logos sprayed on, could easily be covered up with black spray paint]. £450 w/o case, which I would prefer to keep if we meet. Will also consider trades for something P-like, with cash my way Thanks for looking, John.

Righto chaps, I have a hankering for a certain white 5-string Euro LX. This unfortunately means shifting this little fella. Bought used from world renowned Spector loon Cetera in Nov/Dec 2008, and responsible for starting my Spector love. A fantastic player, even in my hands and if someone could give me a bunch of money so I could have both this and the 5, I would be a very happy man. This is however, highly unlikely, hence the sale. Since getting this, I have only played my KSD twice, once at an outdoor festie & then shortly after at a rehearsal 'cos I forgot it was still in the gigbag and that is a nice bass too [and probably also for sale].

Natural oil finish
3-pc rock maple graphite reinforced thru-neck, 34" scale
Alder back wings, walnut slice, flame maple top
Active EMG P/J combo with individual vol knobs
Tone Pump B&T circuit
EB Hybrid Slinkys [0.045-.105]
Lovingly waxed & lemon-oiled as necessary
Couple of small dents which are unnoticable in normal use - 1 by jack socket [inherited], 1 where forearm rests [inherited], 1 on underside of fretboard around 6th fret - not on the neck & not felt during play, only if you feel for it with fingertips - almost broke my heart when it happened until I realised I couldn't feel it anyway. Bloody guitarists. Price [s]£750[/s] now £700 + delivery to UK mainland in a mint Hiscox hard case. New UK price is around £1500, I believe & list considerably more. Here's a older pic from Cetera's collection, I hope he doesn't mind me using it [it's the one in the middle]. I will get fresh pictures up tonight, though they will be taken indoors, I'm afraid. More pics - Small forearm ding in the flame maple top, unable to photograph the jack socket blemish Fretboard ding, underside of 6th fret Thanks for looking, John.
'JohnnyLager' has also bought a Spector from me in the past & would, I'm sure, be willing to vouch for me too....
Indeed I would and I would again if the Euro 4 LX box wasn't already ticked. Not that it stops me drooling over this bad boy, someone is on for a bargain...

band guitarist problem are we being unreaonable
while i'm on the subject what are the best places to advertise in peoples expeience obviously we haven't been in this position before ?
f*** him, move on & keep practising with the rest of the band so you're tight as when the new guy comes along - it will make it easier for him to integrate musically. You could try Bandmix, Forming Bands, Partysounds, et al. I found Bandmix the best & Forming Bands sh*te, but YMMV. And good luck. -
Top day all round and many, many thanks to all involved, particularly Nik & Colin for all their hard organisational work and all those who presented workshops - you know who you are. Special thanks again to Nik, for driving the Magic bus up from the south coast. My personal gear highlights were - Nik's BC Rich David St Hubbins' JJB Precision Boo's 30" SX Jazz Dave C's Gibson SGZ & yet again, Stingrayfan's G&L It was also nice to try out the Digitech BSW I recently acquired, as I am currently ampless! Most thanks however, must go to Mrs. Lager, who foolishly let me go to the Bash, despite moving house on Friday afternoon. I think I may have to get her some chocolates or flowers or something. Unless she settles for the mic I won...

The Landmark, Pompey, 10 or 15 years ago - my midweek sports specials' fella turns up at my gig, having found out what his bird & I got up to on 'uni scuba club' nights and dragged me off stage for a panning. One brief scuffle later, he was thrown out & I was back on stage finishing the song - 'Kerosene' by Big Black if I remember correctly. Happy days. Similar vintage at the Black Prince, Pompey - the drummer kept getting fiddled up by the landlord, so we felt bound to intervene on his behalf. After a while of watching it unfold, anyway. La Cage wine bar, Havant, 20-odd years ago - packed the place with punters, barman tried to offer us some derisory sum of money, came back the next day to speak to the boss [Butch], ended up stuck in an alleyway with said [very hard] Butch and 3 of us were saved from a right battering by a timely beer delivery man. We graciously accepted the derisory amount.
Either a money's no object, or if you're short on cash and can only afford a single cab, which would be the best use of that one box for all occasions?
Can only comment on the latter & chose a Barefaced Big Juan. Presented with the former situation, I'd get another or maybe even commission a Double Big Juan ™ to sit under the Matamp I'd also commission.
