1.
Real metal heads play Chaos!
No no no, D&D. Death to false metal.
2. Come and laugh as people old enough to know better try to escape from the fact they are about to turn 40 by making an infernal din and sweating. Every gig is mercifully one step closer to the last one, so don't miss out on what may be your last chance to witness this travesty they call music. Toxic Rabbit & the other bands might be OK though. Possibly. And Mr. Claber's Big One will be there too.
3. 400+ & 2x15? - yes please. If people didn't lift their own gear, there would be no point in any other amp or cab existing.
4.
You Havant what? Don't keep me in suspense...
5. I think Old Git & The Funk sum it up rather nicely, especially the video yourself bit [OG] - you may be surprised how lame you look, so exagerate it [TF] - it may feel daft, but it looks better. Audience interplay is invaluable too, but don't take the piss -'Scream for me Stockton-on-Tees', 'Good evening Havant', etc.
6. Another happy ending
7. Cheers Al, looking for one of these for a while. Not hard enough obviously.
8. I prefer a smaller comb.
9.
I hope this isn't too simpe a question, but when reading through my amp instruction manuals ( ) there is mention of "buffered" signals for tuner sends. 1) What is a buffered signal? 2) I would assume the signal to a tuner is pre-eq etc? Thanks Andrew
1> This 2> Generally it is directly from the input jack This may all be wrong, but I thought I'd start you off.
10. EDITED:
Lot of similarities to others, but hey we're all friends right? Good - Timing Singing 'Stage presence', whatever that is Organisational ability, which with my shower of sh*te is worth it's weight in chang Bad - [s]Never happy with me gear Don't make enough time to practice[/s] Soloing Hate doing the driving after
11. The Residents have the best image ever.
12. A Carl Thompson with Wal electrics that was on the 'bay a couple of years back. Most stupid thing I ever did, not buying that. Apart from binning that Della who's old man ran The Curlew in Leigh Park - she was filthy. Free booze too.
13.
Is there a way to modify it? Or just stop it rattling? D:
Gaffer tape.
14. Cripes, the LH-1000 I bought form Coda for £319 only 7 weels ago is now £599. For the first time in my life, I came out on top. Academy of Sound still have them for £365 is anyone's interested...
15.
the only real drawback is having to take your bass off, lie it on the floor then stomp on it every time you want to turn the effect on or off. this can be a real pain mid-gig.
16.
Anyone mentioned Steve Morse? awesome technique without the Vai/Satch type histrionics. Don Roeser from BOC for style and knowing what notes to leave out.
Spooky, I was just about to suggest Morse - the biggest hands in Christendom.
17. Trade for a Spector Tone-Pump - cash my way?
18.
I've been wanting to buy one for ages but I'm not too sure what it does, is it just a kick ass pre-amp?
Yep. Like a SansAmp but without the mid-malarkey. At risk of sounding like an EBS advert - It's a preamp, A/B box, DI, overdrive, headphone amp & blendable but non-switchable FX loop. Sort of. Took me a bit of fiddling to get the effect I wanted, though according to Mrs Lager, this is not unusual .
19. Hartke LH-500 and this?
20. Good shout on Lifeson. Lead - Blackmore & LaLonde spring to mind, rhythm - Hetfield.
21.
I'll tell Burke that next time I see him
Ask him when he's playing Brighton again too.
22. I have become a fashion victim since the purchase of me natural Spector and now have one of these in Desert Camo.
23. Still for sale? Oh hang on, it's a lefty.
24. I did it with me ABM combo and built a sleeve from 9mm Brazilian hardwood ply, and I'm f***ing rubbish at woodwork. The hardest bit was getting the holes to hang it from lined up and measured. Good luck.
