1. As the title says, if anyone can make sense of it. Liam Wilson of Dillinger Escape Plan is pictured with one on thh last page of the latest Bass Player mag. Hayelp!
2.
This is a bit off topic but I actually prefer Fender guitars then basses…weird?
Judas
3. Yummy. Just need a Shuttle to go with 'em...
4. These look nice...
5. Welcome aboard. Geddy Lee & Ashdown, just what I'd recommend!
6.
Has anyone got any recommendations for the height of Wizard 84s on a Jazz?
Not as such, but me E side is fair screwed down & the neck more so than the bridge but they are at the same angle, if that makes any sense at all. I used the input VU meter on me ABM to get similar outputs across each string and between pickups, then fine tuned with me ears. Not literally, you understand. Good luck mush.
7. Somewhere near a train station would be lush.....
8. Game on. Will the Shuttles be here by then for me to try?
9. This weeks incarnation TU-2 > Hyperdrive > MutiComp > Xciter > ParaDriver
10.
What do you do with your Boss PS-3?
Shift pitch? *Gets coat *
11. Like it. I would buy one too, if another bass was ever going to happen
12. Bonjour. Votre avatar est tres désagréable mush. And no, I don't. It was from a translation engine.
13.
Try getting 55-110
+1 If you use a C# tuning, you might get away without any truss-rod tweaking, but if it's std E, it might need nipped up a bit with the heavier guage. Maybe.
14.
I've just had to cancel the SwedeTard's bid. Twice. I even sent him (after he placed his first bid) a nice message asking him to confirm that he can pay with PayPal, and that he agrees to the frankly extortionate postage to Sweden. He ignored that, I cancelled his bid, and within minutes he'd bid again. What the f@ck is wrong with these morons? J.
Use words like knulla, skit, fitta, onanera. They will soon get the message.
15. So, bass > headphone amp/DI > amp, yes? I'll try and build one, wife & kids willing...
16.
Interesting but it's not loop through. It's a 2-channel device.
Ah, I see. Please read the caption under my avatar and put together with the words "I", "am" & "a" And it would need to come off the DI out of your amp, so the very nice chap at Canford has just told me.
17. How about this? Jack to XLR into it from the bass, XLR to jack out to amp? WTFDIK, I'm a bass player Ah, it's line level. I'm wating for a response to me email...
18. Aye post-effects / pre-EQ works for me, on those rare occasions we play a venue with more than a vocal PA. What sounds cushty on-stage may sound not-so-cushty through the PA. It gives the soundman something to do too.
19.
Which is best for me? Prog or non prog? (SAmp Bass Driver) I think non-prog as I want one sound or just the amp sound. Any good retailers in uk? Thanks
I had the prog, but flogged it for a ParaDriver to get some control over the mids. And it's smaller. I used US fleabay and might have avoided import charges. If I had to do it all again though, I'd probably save for the EBS MicroBass II. In fact I might. EDIT: The MXR is popular too.... try a search!
20. Welcome. We don't drink as much cheap cider as you may be used to and often lift our own gear, but other than that, rhythm is rhythm. There are a few other drummers here too. Don't do a search for drummer jokes though, you won't find any
21. Post #129 Nuff said.
22. Fair play and we will get shafted on the price. And there's the Jap imports to consider too...
23.
I think if they price these up for over £450 they won't sell very many.. it's getting to MIA Highway levels.
But the inlays , the correct bridge p/u positioning , they'll flog plenty. And plenty more if they put the S-1 in. Will it have a 3-bolt plate though?
24.
Anyway.. what do you want one for? if you're going to talk like that, I'll have mine back.
Is that the same bass in 2 avatars? MODERATOR!
