Hmm. Can't raise them on the phone, - does anyone know how much the fabric relaxes with use? This is stupidly tight. Takes about 20 minutes to drag it on inch by inch.
Let it warm up, sounds stupid I know but maybe it's because it's been in a depot overnight???? FWIW, I know a person who had repairs/modifications done FOC.

Music Management - what's it all about eh?
Jase replied to BigBeefChief's topic in General Discussion
Keep all your bands affairs to yourselves, keep control of everything, be your own customer and don't pay someone who only knows as much as you.....if you come across a good guy all well and good but the chances are he'll be a shmuck! -
Cardiff's buzz magazine are pretty good at reviewing stuff. They've got quite a big circulation in the wales and west as well. Mind you, their reviews can be pretty brutal if they don't like it! also check out Adam Walton on BBC radio Wales who plays a huge range of stuff. If its new and from Wales (I see you are based here) theres a good chance he'll play it. this music round table is closed for now but no doubt he will do more if it works. here's an email I recieved from him earlier this month : On Sunday 26th October 2008 we start a new section of the Sunday night new music show on BBC Radio Wales [10pm - 1am]. A panel drawn from experts within different facets of the Welsh music industry will be coming in to offer their objective and constructive advice on your recordings. This *IS NOT* a battle of the bands. No one will be a winner, or a loser. This won't be empty, facetious punditry. The aim is to get you, the musicians, some clear advice as to how you can progress. The experts are: HUW WILLIAMS -- former singer with the legendary Pooh Sticks; ex-manager of 60ft Dolls, Big Leaves, Novocaine etc. Head honcho of Townhill Records. Helped found the Welsh Music Foundation. Worked as A&R for a number of labels, & Sony / ATV publishing. JO BARTLETT -- member of It's Jo and Danny [and, before that, Blue Train]. Co-founder of Wales' very highly respected Green Man Festival. GREG HAVER -- acclaimed record producer who has worked with Manic Street Preachers, Super Furry Animals, Bullet For My Valentine, Mel C, Hot Puppies and many many more. I will play 5 of the most interesting unsigned recordings that have arrived recently to the panel to see what advice they can offer the bands concerned. ** YOU HAVE UNTIL 10PM ON TUESDAY 14th OCTOBER to get your recordings to me if you would like to participate. ** Regardless of whether you want your music played to the panel, if you have a question for one of our experts, please get in touch. Want some advice on how to best present yourself to a record label? Huw will have some good advice. What are the most important things to consider when recording your demo? Greg will have some excellent tips. How should you go about trying to get on at one the summer's musical festivals? How difficult is it to set up your own? Jo, clearly, has bucket loads of experience in this respect. HIGH QUALITY .mp3's & YOUR QUESTIONS to: please or, CD's to: Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales, Library & Arts Centre, Rhosddu Rd., WREXHAM LL11 1NF
Cheers Stu.
I'd think that local radio would be the sensible starting point (as long as it's something that you think they'll want to play). S.P.
Yeah, possible I suppose.....might be some presenter doing a late night local band slot thing, but I don't fancy waffling on the radio about it myself though.
Depends on the genre really.
I suppose it's in the bracket of prog rock maybe.

We've just finished our 5 track Ep (at long last!!!) and obviously need to get it out there and heard. Can anybody suggest where we might have a good chance of getting it reviewed. I'm well out of touch with magazines, any suggestions would be gratefully recieved. cheers Jase.
350w at 8 ohms according to the manual.
Can't argue with that, probably still very loud at 8ohms.
Does anyone have an idea how much the LH500 gives into 8 ohms?
Should be in here somewhere. How much time should be given when leaving a band?
Jase replied to Cantdosleepy's topic in General Discussion
If it was a better offer I'd be up front with them, that you'd be stupid to turn it down. Any decent musician would understand and not hold it against you. If it was just because you no longer enjoyed working with them, make the next gig your last one and call it a day, I don't see any point in players hanging around if they're not enjoying it. At the end of the day people should respect the choice of others and move on without holding any grudges. -
The Beatles were just a band. If you cant play a 6 ..you suck If you play headless ....you're gay If you have expensive woods on your Bass,You are a prick 2 octave fingerboards are a waste of wood Bassplaying is shutting up and rootnotes. All Bassists are failed guitarists.
Nah, it's the other way around...all guitarists are failed bassists...surley?

I don't think it sounds anything like a P bass when using the S1, I never use it and would rather use a real P bass. IMO of course
-
Aye, not bad are they. I'll be ordering one for a 810 at the end of the month, it's a must this time of the year.
Without sounding like your mum, are you cleaning them properly and regularly?
Fair enough question, yep, they're cleaned before and after....I don't lick 'em Maybe the life span, 6 months they say so it may be time for a new pair, I can't remember when I bought them though I suppose it's just as well to get some custom fits.

A few people have mentioned itching with the ER20's, what's that all about? I get it too.
Whats the back of this thing look like? It looks to be a very well thought out amp on first observation...
Here's a shot of the back panel, not very clear but might give an idea. Good shot of Jack Bruce's Eq settings too! Well, I've since sold the amp. The buyer was aware of the problems and was quite happy to buy it for spares or repair.
Hey guys. I'm looking at getting an amp cover for my techsoundsystems ND115s mini. Its an odd shape so It'll be a custom order. I'd love one for my Hartke A35, but its a kickback design so side-on its a trapezium-type shape. I'd need some kind of clip-system to keep it on properly and I was wondering if the amp covers have any sort of mechanism or design where the case is held together on the underside of the amp/cab? I imagine I can email the manufacturer (and intend to), but I was just wondering about your own experiences. Ta. Dan
The HA3500 has popper like buttons on the side, I'll post some pics so you have some idea
