1.
Yeah!... and there's no original case...
That's it then....no Fender case candy....no deal! I can't believe Will Lee saying the Jaco tribute bass is a work of art...I tried one, it was awful.
 2.
I bid 50p
yeah, bit naff that laminate.
 3. Bon Scott....painful sounding voice.
 4. Madness! It's 6 quid for a Fender TR from axesrus.
 5.
is that serious?

Why not? It's a supremely solid bit of bass playing....
Anything of ACDC is worth learning/listening to. It is the law in all forms of bass playing, if a player can't lay it down, they're not worth a light.
 6. Wonder how much it'll go for, it's bound to end up auctioned, surely.
 7.
If you don't care about the issues you shouldn't want a vote. That's why there are only two options. I'm dissapointed that some people have voted for both, this is about having to choose. Just for fun though
Sorry cheddatom, I voted for both but for good reason...to counteract Fender bashing
 8.
Can I undo my vote? I thought this was about pickups, so I voted both. If it's the whole bass you mean, I vote neither - I am a Fender-free zone.
I voted both too.
 9. Gay bass is the best....it goes deep.
 10. Both, there's no need for any others
 11.
I think the best question would have been to ask: "what bass would you want to turn down if you were stuck at a gig without a bass and needed to borrow". I personally wouldn't turn down any bass I was offered. Would you turn down anything but a fender?
If that happened to me...stuck at a gig with no bass, I'd be right up sh*t creek because I'd turn them all down and if it had more than 4 strings, I'd probably start crying, not out of snobbery but due to the fact that I couldn't play more than 4 strings, or if the bass had a different scale length, active, different pick up configuration, I'd be buggered But it's different for amps and cabs, I don't care what it is really, if I was stuck at a gig without my usual gear that wouldn't bother me at all.
 12.
Lemmy now i reckon he is extremely over rated (in my own personal opinion of course) mind would you class him as a bass player or just a noisey b*stard
Yeah, a bit loud, Lemmy would probably call himself a noisey b**tard
 13. Ello, Bought this from our very own Chopthebass for a project that I'm not going to start, decided I'll stick with what I got (for now) . I paid £20 inc postage....so £15 Delivered. These are Ian's pics of the bridge. (hope you don't mind mate) cheers Jase.
 14.
Can you imagine running through treacle?
NNNNNOOOOOOOO
 15. Stupid question maybe....but the Slow Motion pedal..how's that work then?
 16. Wasn't Jack Bruce that bloke in the pub was it ?
 17. Well, for me it has to be about simplicity, a bass with too many controls, eq settings, batteries, exotic woods, etc is something I wouldn't be able to get on with, don't get me wrong, some of the custom and boutique basses I've seen and heard through this forum are incredible, I can certainly appreciate the craftsmanship. I actually prefer second hand, worn in basses and of course only Fender

 19.
It's a great question to ask on a forum like this. Like, for instance, which is better - blue or red? Everyone has an opinion or a preference. And because of that, they're quite open and ready to put their views forward. Just a shame some people take things too personally, and view someone else's opinion that challenge's their own as an attack. Allow me this. Going back to a previous post, I don't think the term "Indie" off the back off "Independent" is bad journalism at all. It's in the musical language now, a genre, and recognised. Wouldn't you like to be the person who came up with the word "Punk"?. For the pot, mine is Billy Sheehan. And Fieldy. Both of them are always out of tune. But they do have their moments....!
Out of tune? that's a new one Not an attack at your opinion mate just trying to keep it friendly here It got a bit weird earlier on.
 20.
Is she a Slapper.......... (oh come on it was obvious)
Playing in the low register tonight then?
 21. Tidy Darts....that's a bit tasty!
 22.
My girlfriend IS a bass player. And a much more talented one than me. What are you all doing with these non bass-girls?
Do you have Gas at the same time? I'd trade basses and stuff with her, swap my old strings for her newer ones
 23.
Any Motown featuring Mr Jamerson, may sound like a 'nice' part to start, but delve deeper and play it as the record and.....ulp. Oh yeh 'only so much oil in the ground', Tower of Power (10 minute version), solo from start to end. Gary.
Or..What is Hip and Squib Cakes...super stamina!
 24.
Dya reckon that Stevie is the greatest metal bassist ever?
Ha, there's many a great metal Player but Mr Harris has to be one of those guys at the top.
