1. Wife is up for it - need to get step-daughter 'buy-in' now Could bring pretty much any bass in my sig - either a clutch of old Fenders or some of the more 'esoteric' stuff like Fodera / Alleva Coppolo / Celinder etc.
2. Steve is a lovely guy as well - met him a couple of times and been to see him play a solo gig once. I'll admit that I find listening to an entire album of solo bass a bit tough but great to go and watch him live Good teacher too.
3. Just trying to see if my step-daughter is free that day as she lives just 4 miles away so my wife & I could come up & & she could see her daughter & I could pop over for some bass chatting
4. I just love his playing with Chic - the moment when he comes back in on guitar after the breakdown in the 12" version of Good Times is one of my all time favourite 'moments' in music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVnEFalYDzA
5. Some nice shots of the Atelier in this vid (my favourite track from the last album) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3v7cXDwUgI

Sold

Great bass - great guy, great price, what more could you ask
7. I've bought and sold basses through them & become good friends with Phil the owner. The big advantage for me in selling basses via BassGear is that Phil has quite a few overseas customers & he handles all the international payment & shipping stuff. I think some of my basses have gone to France, Austria, Scandinavia etc. They moved location a few months back & now just 20 minutes from my house which is brilliant - I can't keep away from the place, lol. The new location is right next to Twyford mainline station too if you want to get there by train
8. I had a lovely Sei J5 for a while - sounded, and played, very differently from a Flamboyant or an Original but a lovely bass nonetheless. Martin is just a great craftsman all round
9. Anything can happen in the next half hour. . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E06cNv55jTs
10. Slightly off topic but - you have an AJ Presentation & a Monarch, how cool. I've never seen an AJ in the flesh HAve you posted pics of these anywhere here?
11. Another great bass from the house of Dirk
12. Interesting. I have a basic 'bug' type wireless I bought for rehearsals & soundchecks but it would be nice to have something really reliable. I'm in at BassGear later this week so will have a chat with Phil about them http://www.bassgear.co.uk/products-page/accessories/stageclix-wireless/stageclix-jack-system/
13. Realised I don't have many pics of my old '86 Monarch but's here's a couple of samples: Technically not a 'signature' as it was made before Fodera started classifying them as VW sigs
14. Not sure if this helps but I discovered yesterday that my message notifications had been re-classified as spam by GMail. I marked a couple 'not spam' and it's been fine since then
15.
interested in trading for music man sting ray 78 . full original . hard cakes. black . maple neck . chears , cera
Gotta be interested in some "hard cakes" as part of a deal I'll send you a message
16. Vic Wooten Fodera for me - quite partial to the buckeye top models: Of course a 'proper' Vic Sig should be flamed maple: if only they sold one that looked like Vic's original:
17. I've been coveting Loz's sonic blue Alleva Coppolo LG4 with matching headstock and DN board for a good while

Thanks Trev - great to meet up & natter bikes & basses
19. Really nice 4 string Flamboyant that sold for just £820. I nearly went for it just because it was such a bargain but I really don't need another bass at the moment!
20. I've got one I never got round to selling when my RH450 went. PM me if anyone wants a perfect condition hardly used one
21. If I was going he could have borrowed my Ag500 and DB112's. Must be someone in Manchester area that could lend him something for the day? I remember reading about Vic Wooten arriving somewhere and his basses were held in customs. Fodera emailed their dealers and players and came up with a loan bass for him (it was a Fender though I think!).
22. Nice one Nick, I have a '72 that I really like. Has yours got the narrow J width nut?
23.
Barrie.. you have a tonne of 4 strings..
True - but it's always fun to try more, lol.
24. Ah - the lovely Mill Hill Studios. I've spent many a night rehearsing there with my old 11 piece soul band. Have they fixed the electrics yet, I seem to remember one of the owners electrocuting himself once!
