Just wanted to confirm that this bass has now been sold Big thanks to Phil at BassGear for taking it on as a commission sale for me, he seems to be on a bit of a roll at the moment - he's sold three of my basses in the last month In fact the third of these he took off me before I even listed it here and got my asking price in less than a week!

Even that's a lot of money for a wooden case with some tiled and handles on it

I thought it was a bit odd that Steve B was the 'house' bass player on the Warwick stand for the entire weekend at Bass Player live in LA last year. He always used his Fender for the gig but was playing through Warwick amps as far as i remember. Personally I prefer the Fender but I can understand that Warwick is more of a 'natural' fit for a 6 string player!
You need an aguilar headcase for the DB750 to complete the integrated rig look.
I am so close to ordering a 'White Hot' headcase for my DB750 to go with my pair of DB112's. I am going for the 'ultimate cheese' look - ought to go perfectly with my funk/soul functions band

Can you sneak one of these back as hand luggage for me please Phil. . .
If you want it to have that Warwick sound and looks whilst being versatile and still able to capture more standard sounds, get the Streamer. If you want it to sound, look and feel like a Warwick with no compromises, get a Thumb. It really is that simple, Streamers obviously do the whole Warwick growl thing, but they're relatively versatile instruments (depending on model of course). Thumbs are the Warwick brand in a bass, everything about them is distilled Warwickness.
I have to say that I really agree with this. I've owned a mid '80's Thumb and Streamer and, although I quite liked both, the Thumb really summed up the whole Warwick vibe for me. This may sound somewhat 'blasphemous' but if you like the idea/look/feel of a Streamer then i'd definitely check out the 'original' version - a Spector I've owned a few of these & much preferred them to my old Streamer. However - if you fancy a Thumb, then this '87 is rather nice: Not that I'm showing any bias here of course - but you could PM me if you like the look of it. . .
The db750 and 751 are hybrid amp and the db359 is all tube.... This is the biggest different.... The highend all tube amp, like sadowsky sa200,eden vt300 or markbass are very expensive.
Ah ha, that makes sense I do like a good all tube amp, loved my old Ampeg SVTII non-pro but it made my DB750 look like a lightweight, lol.
Seriously, the construction on that thing looks meticulous, impeccable and mighty fine spec to go with it; absolute stunner. If there's anything in my sig (or a combination thereof) that tickles your fancy feel free to drop me a PM. Could probably offer some cash your way if needs be
If only someone would buy the Clover & Kopo Lina, lol. . . -

So I finally got a chance to use my DB750 & one of my DB112's at rehearsals with some decent volume last night. After a bit of tweaking (cut the tweeter right out on the cab, some mid boost on the head and a bit more bias to neck pickup on my '86 Fodera) it sounded just amazing. Cut through the mix really well and I could hear myself so clearly. I continually found myself turning down because my 'perceived' volume was louder than I'm used to. The rest of the band said I wasn't overly loud so it must have been those rich mids I was hearing A couple of people said how nice it sounded and our sound man compared it really favourably to the last session he worked on where the sound was, apparently, a puddle of mud, lol. Anyway, just wanted to share. . .

That looks just great - I've also had a bit of a problem with the look of these Pedullas in the past but having it finished in such a startling colour really brings those curves to life
the ugly bloke on the left ,Phil from bass gear,is holding the prototype (my actual bass) where as t'other bloke is holding a production model
How much do I owe you for not being described as the 'slightly less ugly one on the right'? I do have a very stupid look on my face though
800 notes for a handmade 5 string Jazz? Absurd value.
I've just been thinking about this - I reckon if any one of us posted a perfect condition 5 string Shuker J up in the for sale section at £800 it would get snapped up really quickly, lol.

For anything a grand and under you can't beat Interparcel (IMHO). The big advantage with them is that if there's a delay or something is lost they can get straight through to the more senior customer service guys at the shippers and get things sorted so much quicker than a private individual can. They'll also help with insurance claims if required.
If they were 60s spacing and rosewood board I would have definitely been interested. Cool idea.
Pretty sure the plan is to make them in 'batches' - current ones will all be the same as the ones on BG site but I'm sure they'll be open to ideas from customers on future models
