this is a simpler version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GZcX3vkrlA...feature=related
I really like this version! Wish I could play something like this with such a 'fluid' feel but I think it's never gonna happen
2.
Can you delete your own thread or does a mod have to do it???
OK - so I've kept quiet about this, and I'm not going to name any names, but I had something similar happen to me recently with someone deleting their own thread which had no replies. I was offered something for a particular price so I thought I'd try to check out its value. Couldn't find anything similar here so went to Google to see if there was one somewhere else. Lo & behold the first Google listing that came up was for BC. How odd I thought, must have mis-typed the search in BC. I hit the Google link and the thread had disappeared. Went back to Google and looked at the cached version - there was the very same item from the same seller being listed at exactly a quarter of the price he'd just tried to offer it to me at! Needless to say I queried the price and walked away from the deal. Seller said original listing was a 'mistake. but we're talking a pretty big differential here and a completely deleted thread. . . In fact while I'm on the subject, lol. I bought an amp here a while back that had an intermittent hum. It didn't happen when I tested the amp but once it had been on for a while it kicked in really badly. Seller claimed it had never happened to him & I let it ride. I then went searching a few specialist sites to see if i could find out what the problem would be. . . Big surprise - I found a thread from the seller (using the same name as here) on another site explaining the amp had a problem and asking for help. The guys on that site said it sounded a bit nasty and might cost a bit to repair. The seller then openly requested in his thread that the mods delete the thread. They didn't so it was a clear record of what had happened. I took the decision not to get involved in a big hassle and sold the amp to someone who was a decent tech who thought he could fix it himself. Luckily he did so it all worked out Ok. Just goes to show that the old Caveat Emptor ruling definitely applies here as much as anywhere else
3. Shame my Louis Johnson is worth a fair bit more than this it has the MM style HB at the bridge but also a J at the neck.
4. Nice - I've fancied one of these for a while, one of my favourite looking Fender J's
5. Just wanted to confirm that this bass has now been sold Big thanks to Phil at BassGear for taking it on as a commission sale for me, he seems to be on a bit of a roll at the moment - he's sold three of my basses in the last month In fact the third of these he took off me before I even listed it here and got my asking price in less than a week!
6. Just wanted to confirm that this bass has now been sold and is seeing regular use in the midlands Big thanks to Phil at BassGear for taking it on as a commission sale for me
7. Now sold and heading to sunny Estonia very soon
8. Looks like this baby is on the move now - officially on hold

SOLD!

I'm a bit lost on the price of the Tele In the very first post it says £575 or £600 with a new Hiscox case but then on this page it seems to be saying 'last offer' at £750? Apologies if I'm getting mixed up and.or have missed something somewhere
10. The other vid from the same session is good too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BFpsTGPqm0...feature=related
11.
http://store.aguilaramp.com/ProductDetails...tCode=700%2D016 ^ more like that. £300+ is a f***ing joke.
So that's about £150 - £175 in the UK with shipping and full taxes. Even that's a lot of money for a wooden case with some tiled and handles on it
12. I thought it was a bit odd that Steve B was the 'house' bass player on the Warwick stand for the entire weekend at Bass Player live in LA last year. He always used his Fender for the gig but was playing through Warwick amps as far as i remember. Personally I prefer the Fender but I can understand that Warwick is more of a 'natural' fit for a 6 string player!
13.
You need an aguilar headcase for the DB750 to complete the integrated rig look.
I am so close to ordering a 'White Hot' headcase for my DB750 to go with my pair of DB112's. I am going for the 'ultimate cheese' look - ought to go perfectly with my funk/soul functions band
14. Can you sneak one of these back as hand luggage for me please Phil. . .
15.
If you want it to have that Warwick sound and looks whilst being versatile and still able to capture more standard sounds, get the Streamer. If you want it to sound, look and feel like a Warwick with no compromises, get a Thumb. It really is that simple, Streamers obviously do the whole Warwick growl thing, but they're relatively versatile instruments (depending on model of course). Thumbs are the Warwick brand in a bass, everything about them is distilled Warwickness.
I have to say that I really agree with this. I've owned a mid '80's Thumb and Streamer and, although I quite liked both, the Thumb really summed up the whole Warwick vibe for me. This may sound somewhat 'blasphemous' but if you like the idea/look/feel of a Streamer then i'd definitely check out the 'original' version - a Spector I've owned a few of these & much preferred them to my old Streamer. However - if you fancy a Thumb, then this '87 is rather nice: Not that I'm showing any bias here of course - but you could PM me if you like the look of it. . .
16.
The db750 and 751 are hybrid amp and the db359 is all tube.... This is the biggest different.... The highend all tube amp, like sadowsky sa200,eden vt300 or markbass are very expensive.
Ah ha, that makes sense I do like a good all tube amp, loved my old Ampeg SVTII non-pro but it made my DB750 look like a lightweight, lol.
17.
Haha yep! You know it. I'd be all over this bass!
Actually Marc (Voxpop) lives near me - could be a 3-way deal involved somewhere. . .
18. Couple of offers in on this one now but nothing 100% confirmed - c'mon guys you know you want this really Growls like a mofo with the tone rolled off and the amp cranked
19.
Seriously, the construction on that thing looks meticulous, impeccable and mighty fine spec to go with it; absolute stunner. If there's anything in my sig (or a combination thereof) that tickles your fancy feel free to drop me a PM. Could probably offer some cash your way if needs be
If only someone would buy the Clover & Kopo Lina, lol. . .
20.
Ideally I'm looking to trade, not sell
Sell it to Marc - then you can buy the Louis Johnson instead, lol
21. Can I ask what the difference is between one of these and the DB750/751 - obviously those two are lower priced so I'm guessing there's something in the power section of the 359 that makes it more expensive?.
22. So I finally got a chance to use my DB750 & one of my DB112's at rehearsals with some decent volume last night. After a bit of tweaking (cut the tweeter right out on the cab, some mid boost on the head and a bit more bias to neck pickup on my '86 Fodera) it sounded just amazing. Cut through the mix really well and I could hear myself so clearly. I continually found myself turning down because my 'perceived' volume was louder than I'm used to. The rest of the band said I wasn't overly loud so it must have been those rich mids I was hearing A couple of people said how nice it sounded and our sound man compared it really favourably to the last session he worked on where the sound was, apparently, a puddle of mud, lol. Anyway, just wanted to share. . .
23. That looks just great - I've also had a bit of a problem with the look of these Pedullas in the past but having it finished in such a startling colour really brings those curves to life
24.
the ugly bloke on the left ,Phil from bass gear,is holding the prototype (my actual bass) where as t'other bloke is holding a production model
How much do I owe you for not being described as the 'slightly less ugly one on the right'? I do have a very stupid look on my face though
25.
800 notes for a handmade 5 string Jazz? Absurd value.
I've just been thinking about this - I reckon if any one of us posted a perfect condition 5 string Shuker J up in the for sale section at £800 it would get snapped up really quickly, lol.
