6. Something else has come up that I have my beady little eyes on so willing to listen to lower offers on this for a straight sale now If it helps here are some additional pics - they really don't work anywhere near as well as Mr Sadowsky's official pics in terms of showing just how nice this bass is though!

15.
That is stunning with the black guard. Would go nicely next to my Duck Dunn, but funds permit me from purchasing. Someone is gonna get a corker of a bass for a bargain price. Good luck with the sale.
So easy to swap pickguards around for quite a different look Hopefully priced to sell reasonably quickly! Quicker than quick - this bass is now sold and paid for already
16. I think you probably know the answer to that question
17. This is the second of Marty Siggery's basses I've owned and I have to say that they are really well made and nicely finished. This one has a particularly nice flamed maple cap and a lovely flamed maple neck. Body is light weight alder and the board is rosewood. Pickups are Fender Custom Shop but I'm not sure which models, has a very punchy sound for a passive bass though. Bridge is Schaller & tuners are Hipshot. There's an obvious nod in the direction of the modern Sadowsky look to the body shape and headstock and logo design. Not suggesting this is an attempt to 'pass off' as a Sad, just mentioning this for reference to anyone who might be familiar with the design It's essentially a brand new bass, not a mark on it anywhere and, as far as I know, I'm the first owner having bought it direct from Marty himself. Only reason for selling is that I'm really trying to reduce the number of basses in the house before my wife discovers how many I actually have! Basically it's a very pretty bass in perfect condition for a fraction of the price you'd pay for something with this kind of flame on the top and a birdseye neck. It's not the easiest of basses to take a picture of because of the gloss finish over the flame - however Marty has a great flash movie of it on his site that really shows off how nice it is Here I've copied a few sample pics from his site below. I don't have a case for this at the moment but the price I've quoted will include either a hard case or a decent spec gig bag (whichever someone might prefer). Alternatively I'll reduce the price accordingly if someone wants to meet up or collect and doesn't require a case Happy to ship anywhere but looking for trades as I'm trying to cut the collection down, lol.
18. NOW SOLD Picked this up to use as my rehearsal bass but something else came up recently that I'd had my eyes on for while and I just couldn't resist it! I'm sure if you're reading this then you know all about the Lakland Skyline DJ4 so I won't go into lots of detail here (can supply if anyone wants more info of course). This particular one has the original Aero pickups as specified by Darryl Jones - personally I prefer these to either the Fralins that some have or the Lakland in-house models most new ones have but that's purely subjective. Pretty much every DJ I've played / heard has been really nice, can't fault the Lakland Skyline quality control system. It's been nicely set up with a low action and is really easy to play, medium weight & downsized J shape body make it great for longer rehearsals or gigs. One nice touch is that it comes with the original guard plus 2 Jeannie's options so you can play around with the look in a matter of minutes. It's currently wearing the red tort version, which I really like, but I've added pics with all three guards in place (the black and white are just laid over the red so might look slightly 'raised'). Since buying this I've also sourced a genuine Lakland hard case for it so I'll throw that in as part of the deal as well Overall in very good condition, few surface swirls here & there but the slight sparkle in the finish obscures these really. Couple of very small dings on the lower headstock at the rear but, again, hardly noticeable. Happy to ship anywhere but not looking for PX deals on this one as I really am trying to 'downsize' my collection and I've already got something new heading my way this week. . .
19. I tried a batch of the £100 and below pedals and settled on the MXR Auto Q. I also have an EBS IQ but I find it really needs 'pushing' to get it really working properly and I need to stick a volume boost or distortion pedal in front of it to make it squelch how I'd like. The MXR is relatively simple (I use the settings they give in their examples) and all I need to do is knock the output volume up a bit to compensate for some loss of lower bass 'oomph'. Could probably do with a compressor (which I have but don't use much) to tame the overall range I'm getting when using it.
20. First potential trade offer is in - anyone else interested
21.
Me want, me want! Swap you a brand new Musicman StingRay special order fretless, ala Pino.....! Nick
You are incorrigable Nick! Zap me a PM with more details
22. Brilliant thanks for these guys I'm trying to avoid the lure of 'lounge jazz' at the moment
23. My band has had a couple of requests to play a 'quieter' set prior to our main set at larger function gigs. First thought was that we'd have a go at a selection of slower soul songs (main set is predominantly classic soul and disco). May not go totally unplugged but would definately try to use acoustic guitar and focus on our sax player more. We have both male and female vocals so can cover a fair range of material. To be honest I have a feeling this is likely to be very much in the background so won't be looking for big vocal masterclass kind of stuff. Anyway - if anyone has any thoughts about whether this might work as an idea and/or some song suggestions would be much appreciated
24. Here's one of my favourite 'grooves' - love the funky choppy guitar on this :
25.
Hi there - it did get sold. I miss it! But it's with a very good owner now!
And was used at rehearsals this evening
