1.
Hi just put the bass on the scales & it came out at 11lbs- don't know how accurate that is though? To be honest it isn't the lightest of basses but haven't had a problem gigging it myself.... I also looked at the US models when i got this bass & the price put me off as i couldn't justify spending double the amount!!!
Mine is just under 10lbs I think, they are pretty heavy but I guess that's where some of that big old tone comes from Sorry - forgot to ask. Does the neck have a gloss finish - that's different from the US models? Don't suppose you need an Epifani UL310 by any chance, lol. . .
 2. Damn - I've been debating whether to go for a Euro or a US as a back up for my current US. Had pretty much decided on a Euro & this would have been perfect but I've just found a US up for sale as well so need to re-evaluate my choices! Of course the US is more than twice the price Do you know how much it weighs (bit of a traditional Spector problem for me is that they are often pretty heavy).
 3. This really is a very funky little bass, the case is just tiny too. So easy to cart around
 4.
What about a px for a markbass 102hf? it fits in my astra's boot and is more than good enough to gig standalone
I've got a pair of Berg 1x12's which will work for me really. Bought the Epi on a bit of a whim but I would definitely have kept it if it fitted in the car, lol.
 5.
I have a set of Ultimate Ears ones - the Superfi Pro 5. I resisted the temptation to get the enhanced bass response ones and went for the flatter respose version (which is actually more expensive). I am very impressed with these, although if you have anything on your iPod that has been encoded at a lower quality, you will really notice it. Like most in-ears, if they are not seated correctly in the ear they don't sound very good. You will notice some noise if the cable rubs on your clothing. They are fantastic for the Tube. With all the outside noise blocked off I don't even have to have them up loud at all. My volume never even gets up to half way. They are quite expensive though.
I also use Ultimate Ears phones & I love them. i only really use them for iPod use but my drummer uses the same ones for live in-ear monitoring work. The design has changed slightly now but I think mine were the Super Fi Pro twin driver ones. Cost me about £110 I think but you ahve to really shop around on price, I've seen them over £150.
 6.
You'll have to sell this car surely?! We should get a car classifieds section on here! My 310 fits in my Octavia with room to spare! Wise man or just Poor man ... Shame, they are awesome cabs. Also awesome cars them BMW's. Doh.
It's my fault really as I helped choose the car it is really nice though, we've had a 2 litre diesel for a few years but gone back to a nice 3 litre petrol engine & I much prefer it
 7.
Oh no. The cab!!!
It's the depth that makes the difference, probably needs to be 15" deep to fit comfortably
 8.
Ah.... the dreaded "4x10 size box won't fit in the boot of a 3 series scenario" If I didn't have the same issue i'd quite fancy this.....
Because it's a fair bit smaller than a regular 4x10 you won't believe how close this is to actually fitting in Not sure if the aperture in a saloon is bigger than a coupe but I guess there's probably not much in it!
 9. Really great cab & pretty much exactly what I was looking for when I bought it quite recently. Unfortunately some dodgy measuring has resulted in a cab that's fractionally bigger than the boot opening of the new car that turned up today. I can get it on the front seat but as it's the wife's car I'm not sure she's going to take too kindly to me ramming a bass cab in & it certainly won't fit on the back of my bike So here we go - excellent cab in immaculate condition, circa 7-8 months old In the words of Epifani themselves: the UL-310 combines the size and weight of a 210 with the power of a 410. Easily carried in one hand, the UL-310 is a favorite among musicians who enjoy making 1 trip from their car into the gig. * Speaker: 3 x 250w RMS Cast Aluminum Frame * 100w RMS Tweeter * Freq Response: 40hz - 16khz * Power Rating: 750w RMS (1800w Peak) * 5.3 Ohms * Suggested Wattage: 200w - 1000w * Sensitivity: 103db SPL @ 1w 1m * Recessed Handles * Dimensions: 23" H x 21.5" W x 16.5 " D * 47 lbs. It genuinely is the perfect size for a lot of situations and the 3x10s belt quite a punch without weighing a ton or being too huge to lug around (unless your wife has a new coupe!). Probably too big to send by courier but I could probably arrange something if required. I sent a slightly larger Ampeg recently for about £30 so that's a decent guide price for shipping.
 10. I'm getting an error 404 message on the first link?
 11.
I couldn't see her behind that TRB6 This is gospel is it not? I don't think you can call gospel singers hot!! All the same, you make a persuasive argument
I found a pic without a TRB in it Possibly sexist but not exploitative, in the words of the mighty David St Hubbins - "it's such a fine line between stupid & clever"
 12.
Hey, Do you mean 500watt at 4ohm?
Even more - it's 550w Or, as SWR put it: Our 550x is just righteous, providing world-famous SWR® professional tube preamp tone and 550 watts of full-range power in a convenient two-rack-space configuration. 13.
Sorry, not planning to sell any at the moment...
I just thought that if you could maybe sell a couple of them then you might get cash to buy a Fodera which might be easier to achieve than a straight trade. Difficult to tell in this market of course. Hope you find a nice Fodera to add to the one you already have
 14.
There has been a few interested guys but still for sale! It's interesting - lots of interest from US and less from UK.
Probably some issues with the exchange rate on the Euro. At today's rates 2,500 Euros is about £2,350. A year ago it would have been maybe £1,850. This means that basses already in the UK and valued in £Sterling are going to be trading at anything up to 25% cheaper than those based in Europe. Conversely, if you're in the UK & selling something to Europe then it's a great time to sell - I've done just that earlier this year & got a lot more in £ for an exchange with someone in Spain than I would have got over here. All swings and roundabouts of course - hopefully exchange rates will settle and stop getting in the way of trading some excellent basses across Europe
 15. Are you planning to sell any of these outright rather than trade them Dirk? Maybe give some guide prices if you are? They all look really nice by the way
 16. Just like London buses, You keep your eyes open for a 5 string Sei & two come along at once! And both of them lovely as well Is it 34" scale with 17mm string spacing?
 17. Never use them at low volume but find they help with personal monitoring in some band situations Also depends on which bass I'm using - sounded horrible with a Sadowsky (to my ears) as the combination of high output top end on the Sad was picking up every little clang when feed through a pair of tweeters. Of course this is just as much to do with my technique as anything else but I didn't really want everyone to hear every little buzz from my playing, lol.

 19. Most MTD's are 35" - even their US 4's are. Easy to spot given how MTD name them all - 435 / 535 / 635 etc
 20.
Haha, had it coming And yeah that's one of the reasons I'm loving the MTD, as it's not really one of the mainstream brands it doesn't attract too much of the bad, "expensive gear therefore twat" attention. More the kind of "oooh that's pretty, let's talk bass" attention. How did the girl perform at your gig? What band you in? Might try and make it to a gig
I think i already get the "he's got a 5 string so is therefore a twat" comments, lol. The girl with only one rehearsal was great. I'm sure no-one noticed that she wasn't our regular singer Our band is called Third Party but most gigs are private function things & usually in deepest Hampshire which is where most of the band are based.
 21.
I sold my Shuttle 6.0 and Bought a Shuttle 3.0-10T Combo and its great. 175 wats and weighing less than 20lbs. When i add it to the neox 112 its a great mini rig
I did exactly the same thing The baby Shuttle combo is virtually a one finger lift it's so light. Easily loud enough for a lot of everyday situations at 175W & adding any second cab will bring in the full 300w output.
 22.
Poor relations that don't come anywhere close to the majesty and power of Joy Division.
I know this is probably heresy but I always struggled with Joy Division. I realise that this may have partially their intention but they were jsut too intense for me and, ultimately I found them boring. I remember buying each album when it first came out thinking it was going to be "the one" but, for me, it never was I've always thought they've been more revered since Ian Curtis wasn't around but that's probabl;y just me being cynical. Only thing that really worked for me was Love Will Never Tear Us Apart which I played to death when it was released
 23. I've always thought one of these would be great little standby combo. Small enough to kick around the house for practicing (where it would look great just as a piece of 'functional sculpture') but big enough for the odd gig as well
