Hey, Do you mean 500watt at 4ohm?
Even more - it's 550w Or, as SWR put it: [i]Our 550x is just righteous, providing world-famous SWR® professional tube preamp tone and 550 watts of full-range power in a convenient two-rack-space configuration.
Sorry, not planning to sell any at the moment...
I just thought that if you could maybe sell a couple of them then you might get cash to buy a Fodera which might be easier to achieve than a straight trade. Difficult to tell in this market of course. Hope you find a nice Fodera to add to the one you already have

NotForSaleAnymore: An Amazing MTD535 for sale
molan replied to margusalviste's topic in Basses For Sale
There has been a few interested guys but still for sale! It's interesting - lots of interest from US and less from UK.
Probably some issues with the exchange rate on the Euro. At today's rates 2,500 Euros is about £2,350. A year ago it would have been maybe £1,850. This means that basses already in the UK and valued in £Sterling are going to be trading at anything up to 25% cheaper than those based in Europe. Conversely, if you're in the UK & selling something to Europe then it's a great time to sell - I've done just that earlier this year & got a lot more in £ for an exchange with someone in Spain than I would have got over here. All swings and roundabouts of course - hopefully exchange rates will settle and stop getting in the way of trading some excellent basses across Europe -

Never use them at low volume but find they help with personal monitoring in some band situations Also depends on which bass I'm using - sounded horrible with a Sadowsky (to my ears) as the combination of high output top end on the Sad was picking up every little clang when feed through a pair of tweeters. Of course this is just as much to do with my technique as anything else but I didn't really want everyone to hear every little buzz from my playing, lol.

Most MTD's are 35" - even their US 4's are. Easy to spot given how MTD name them all - 435 / 535 / 635 etc

Ash's MTD 535! Finished! Pics up with more coming :)
Haha, had it coming And yeah that's one of the reasons I'm loving the MTD, as it's not really one of the mainstream brands it doesn't attract too much of the bad, "expensive gear therefore twat" attention. More the kind of "oooh that's pretty, let's talk bass" attention. How did the girl perform at your gig? What band you in? Might try and make it to a gig
I think i already get the "he's got a 5 string so is therefore a twat" comments, lol. The girl with only one rehearsal was great. I'm sure no-one noticed that she wasn't our regular singer Our band is called Third Party but most gigs are private function things & usually in deepest Hampshire which is where most of the band are based. -
I sold my Shuttle 6.0 and Bought a Shuttle 3.0-10T Combo and its great. 175 wats and weighing less than 20lbs. When i add it to the neox 112 its a great mini rig
I did exactly the same thing The baby Shuttle combo is virtually a one finger lift it's so light. Easily loud enough for a lot of everyday situations at 175W & adding any second cab will bring in the full 300w output.
Poor relations that don't come anywhere close to the majesty and power of Joy Division.
I know this is probably heresy but I always struggled with Joy Division. I realise that this may have partially their intention but they were jsut too intense for me and, ultimately I found them boring. I remember buying each album when it first came out thinking it was going to be "the one" but, for me, it never was I've always thought they've been more revered since Ian Curtis wasn't around but that's probabl;y just me being cynical. Only thing that really worked for me was Love Will Never Tear Us Apart which I played to death when it was released
I messaged the seller, his reserve is £1200 and he's not willing to split & sell the Jazz separately. Anyroad up, we'll see what happens... J.
I don't want to sound overly negative about someone who's obviously been here on BC but I ahve a sneaking suspicion that this auction isn't going to get completed at that price
Was 4-1 good enough?
Good enough for me (and I'm a Gooner!). Just seeing Ferguson's face after the final whistle will keep me happy for the rest of the day Shame about the band stuff but maybe use it as inspiration to do something else that's more to your liking. Always one of the problems of playing with the same people for a long time is that there's always going to be some who don't want to change or learn new stuff.
Look familiar? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=31614 Wonder why he refuses to split? He could've sold them all & probably made a lot more 6 months ago. Jon.
You've got a good memory Jon Definitely worth more individually. I bought a pair of instruments at an auction once for about £60 the pair. They were listed with a knackered Aria bass as the first instrument. it really wasn't worth much more than £60 (I think I sold it to a mate for his son as a learner instrument for £50). However the other was a real oddball rarity Guyatone guitar that I got £150 for! It helped that I knew the Guyatone was worth a bit but if the original seller had simply sold them seperately I reckon he'd have got at least £60 each.

This will almost certainly mean they will sell for less than they are worth individually so could be a bargain. I had an original SB1000 years ago & really liked it. So I've sold my main amp & won't get a new one for a week or so & was wondering what to use at home for the time being. I then had the brainwave of feeding my Sadowsky outboard pre straight into my old EBS power amp power amp. Sounds great! It's one of the old models & if you whack the bass & treble boost up full it really makes a lot of basses actually sound like a Sadowsky as well
Check these out..New Direction Live..turn up the bass when listening, awsome slapping...i would love to be there WOW!!! after 3.00 it looks from the headstock, hes playing a Sadowsky..The drumming from 4.00 onwards is fantastic... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jA2lwHQXYKo Perri, a hard to get album with Nathan East on bass..They used to be on backing duties for Anita Baker. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qod4PuUmhOc And for me the master on bass..Dale Black...you have to see/hear the jam he gets going with the drummer..i love his chordal work at 8.40..Incredible...I think this guy is as good in the groove if not better than Wooten, Gouche,....IMHO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ThwuJVcyoA
I saw Perri with Anita Baker when they got to play the support slot before Anita came on. It was a while ago (mid/late '80s) but I think it may have been Nathan East on bass for the evening. Great live vocals from what I remember. I had an album on cassette but it's long been chewed up in a car stereo, lol. I love that New Direction vid, I'd love to see something like this live.

Watched the Bernard Sumner interview on Sky Arts & I'd really forgotten just how much I used to like New Order during their 'glossy' synth funk pop era. My favourite has to be the full version of Perfect Kiss with Hooky riffing away with that great tone that cuts through all the sheen of the synth production I especially like how they break it all down in the middle & then start bringing everything back in again
cant find Light House?
Download Spotify & they have 2 New Direction albums available for streaming in decent quality. I liked the second one best - you know, the one without any of the band in it, allowed me to just stare at the Aggie Spot the old bloke who hasn't concentrated on the singer's appendages
