When you say the pull up pot has its own control does this mean you can vary the amount of mid cut (either through the pot itself or via internal cavity adjustments)? Reason for asking so specifically is that it's the variable mid control on my Overwater that I use the most

    I've been offered some Elixir strings at under £10 for 4 string sets that I reckon are minimum 5 years old ( the box design is different from current ones). Never played & look in perfect condition to me. Can they have lost much in terms of brightness by simply sitting there unused for a long time?

    Does the front section come off completely or is it permanently attached? Looks perfect for what I want but I'm not sure about the front flapping about when I'm using it at gigs, lol.

    Too quick for me even to confirm it's only been used at very low volume at home since I bought it from new! Funnily enough I used my Shuttle 3.0 10T at rehearsal tonight and was amazed at how well it coped with a low B at decent volume. It wasn't as cleanly defined as the E at peak levels but it wasn't breaking up at volume from a reasonably hard hitting drummer

Trust me - I work in marketing (actually if ever you hear the words "trust me" & "I work in marketing" together then the last thing you should do is trust the person that says them!). I can completely see a scenario, especially in the States where there are lots of smaller venues, where a small bar/club gigging band would want a cheaper alternative to look like they've been around the block a few times with their instruments rather than shelling out on a genuine vintage guitar/bass. If the pickups are up to scratch, or decent aftermarket ones are fitted, then I reckon they would sound good & look quite impressive on stage.

Relic style '60's Jazz & '50's Precision. I think they are MIM rather than MIA but Fender site isn't clear (unless I'm missing it somewhere). Here's a Jazz: and a P: Both also come in Fiesta Red: Opening price from UK dealers seems to be around the £950 mark so maybe they are MIA after all - or just very expensive MIM?

    Quick note from me as I was the first owner of this head. It's essentially a brand new unit, purchased last April (I think) & only used twice at home before Sean bought it. Will still be covered by warranty & I think Sean has all the original paperwork, box, manual etc. I'm sure you could get one for less but unlikely that it'll have had as little use as this

    I reckon about £120 Which is, luckily, exactly how much cash I have in my wallet right now so I'll be round tomorrow If it's any help the best offer I got on my Kubicki was around the £625 mark.

    I could do with some interesting drum patterns to practice with and thought about buying a basic drum machine with pre-loaded patterns but thought that maybe there's some free software out there that would do the job? I did a very quick search and came up with a few but some were trial versions only and others were free software but the patterns were quite expensive downloads. Really not looking for anything flashy just a few funky drum parts to play along with
