  1. A P Bass special, the 80s one with the two sets of P pups.
  2. Delicious bass! Though not my style I'm afraid. I fell in love with a Sandberg at the bass show last year, you'll be getting great quality with that instrument!
  3. Still available for anyone with a pedal project...
  4. Price drop to £35
  5. I bought a Japanese P Bass from patch during the year, he's a great seller and keeps his gear in excellent condition. Good luck with the sale!
  6. Boxed EHX bass blogger. Weird name but it does the job, fuzz or overdrive, blend in dry signal. Excellent condition but used, rubber feet are stuck on the side for Velcro on the bottom. Selling due to other gear taking its place! Happily consider trade for a good chorus or octave pedal.
  7. Fudge me!!! If I'd spent that much on a bass and it has any defect ever I'd want a first class plane ticket to Germany to watch them repair it and being put up in one of those special hotels where there are lots of jacuzzis and scantily clad women walking about and.... You get the drift.
  8. Brand new and boxed Dean markley blue steels . Five string set, medium light, 45-128. £24.99 online, I'll sell here for £20 incl. UK postage. Please private message me to buy
  9. As long as everyone has a similar level of commitment its all fine with me... I make it clear to people: I'm not a pro quality player, I don't want to give up my job to try to "make it big", and if I am having a busy week at work and home that prevents me learning new songs properly then I say pretty quick
  10. top advice, thanks - its opening me up to a few different ideas. Not wanting to play lots of notes, just to sound more authentic. thank you!
  11. 2x Behringer bass chorus pedals. Bought one, it only worked sporadically, the retailer replaced it without wanting it back... and the next one doesn't work reliably either. Both for sale to someone who may want to use for parts, use the casings, repair... up to you. Please send a private message as I can't check the forum as often as I'd like to
  12. Hi everyone - my new band is throwing in some country style music. I love listening to it but I'm showing myself up a little. Root-fifth.. root-fifth... attempted fill... root-fifth... I can play most rock genres in my sleep but struggling to crack country. Granted, I don't practice enough - but I'm looking for some tips to get a bit more out of playing. My lead guitarist has played country bass but i think he just played it like lead guitar, and he's not great at explaining or showing what he wants me to do. So - any country players... what would be good songs to listen to and learn? How do i get away from root-fifth, fill, root-fifth and play something authentic and not "soften" the feel? Is playing the Tenessee three style rhythm possible on electric bass? thank you!
  13. Hi, sorry it's a multi power supply with various outputs at 100ma and a few at larger currents. Got a replacement from the retailer and had same problem only this time didn't work at all off the power supply, worked off battery only at home and then in the rehearsal room did sweet f*** all again. Giving up on these off to buy one from a more reputable manufacturer when I have the pennies together...
  14. Warmoth. Have a look, build what you want then adjust the price by trimming back on materials such as body wood, less exotic top, etc. Pay a professional to set it up if you like after you've done all the basic screwing together...
  15. £175 pickup from st Albans, buyer to come round with a bass and test at a sociable hour (neighbours have kids), bring your own bass to have a go all mine are kack-handed!! Excellent combo pumping out 300 trace Elliot watts and all the tone you expect. Extension cab can go too for the right price. Please PM me as I get told off for checking BC at work and home!!
  16. The retailer sent me a new one and guess what... Ok with batteries, no effect comes in when plugged in to the power supply. Incredibly annoying as I actually quite like it as an effect but won't use it enough to justify buying the Boss or other Bass Chorus pedal. I use a 9v 100ma multi-power supply which works fine with my Behringer tuner, Boss Limiter/ Enhancer and two EHX pedals.... Something's telling me trying to solve this will be more faff than its worth.
  17. I've done some market research and re-priced. For sale is my Trace 7215 300watt combo. I love this amp, but circumstances force sale. Its the most feature rich amp I've had and I love the tone, I just have too much cash tied up in stuff that's not being used enough right now. Buyer to collect from St Albans. It is listed on eBay but would much prefer selling here. 18. This bad boy remains for sale. Any local Basschatter want to come over to St Albans and give this a blast please PM me, gorgeous amp with incredible tone and power, bring your bass and crank it up! You will not be disappointed. Open to sensible offers...
  19. If I get away with the bank robbery I'm planning I'll be in touch... Seriously gorgeous bass, wish I'd not got so many home expenses right now. Good luck with the sale.
  20. I bought a cheap Behringer pedal because well, I dont use chorus much at all but would like it as an option. On receiving the pedal it didn't bring in the effect on pressing the pedal when using a single power supply but worked fine on batteries. I plugged it in to my new multi power supply on my pedal board and it worked great at home... Took it to rehearsal and no chorus!! The effect now just doesn't come on at all... Any ideas on what I can do to try and repair? Im a complete beginner with electronics but I can do an ok job of soldering...
  21. Sent you a message - sorry only just seen this!!
  22. The power pack did the job at rehearsal last night. I used rechargeable batteries in the past and when they get low you loose a lot of your effect so having constant power is excellent. Just one of the pedals let me down....
  23. Bought the Caline off eBay, got very fast delivery from whoever the cheapest 100% feedback seller was. All hooked up and tested at home last night, very very pleased! Taking it out with the band tonight but aside from tidying up the loose cable length I can't see any issues until I acquire more pedals, which I'm keen not to do! Thanks for the recommendation!
  24. Sorry for being late but I had the same dilemma and did a spreadsheet calculating total area, cost, etc! Ended up buying a Gator case from thomann. So far very pleased with it, it's ply rather than aluminium but it feels sturdy enough for the job
