  1. Can't go wrong with a TC Corona Chorus. The onboard settings are ok but the toneprint function lets you upload any other sound you'd want or need and you can even tweak those once they're loaded onto the pedal. Also, if you play guitar too you can use it as a bass chorus or guitar chorus so it's flexible.
  2. Marshall Vibratrem pedal in good condition. Who else saw the Ian Allison video where he does delay into trem and thought "I want that!!!" Yep, I'm a sucker! Just trying to rationalise my board and raise funds for a project. Great condition, very good pedal, sounds great with fretless. Stereo output, shape control is really helpful, velcro on the bottom. https://marshall.com/amps/products/archive/pedals/vt-1-vibratrem
  3. Other than loud, how's it? Thinking of going for one of these for my Hofner 189
  4. Not a red head but I have used my WorkingPro 10 at gigs. Love the SWR Sound, such a shame Fender killed the brand.
  5. Hate so say it but no matter what gear I use, and I try to use some diverse stuff, I fundamentally sound like me. Not saying I have a highly cultivated and unique sound, far from it, but the gear seems to only make a small difference. Maybe I'm just not using it right. But those small differences matter to me, even if nobody else, even in the band notices!
  6. Won't that f things up completely? Might see if I can get an extension lead that takes European inputs and has a UK wall plug, could be a good half way option..
  7. Contacted these guys and just got a "sorry, No". Seems to be the most rare plug in the world.
  8. Was that on eBay?? If so I could have been bidding against you! Glad I didn't bid now. What's it like?
  9. If it's got your endorsement I'm in!
  10. All I know is there is a way you can declare foreign earnings of different sorts. And if you've paid foreign tax you can get a small % of that credited back by HMRC.
  11. Wondering if this fits the bill? Can't see anything that says centre negative? https://www.switchelectronics.co.uk/products/3a-12vdc-plugtop-power-supply-powerpax-sw4414c
  12. I went on the site recommended in the thread, they don't have one for this model unfortunately. I'm going to have another search tomorrow.
  13. That's what came with it. It's not very good.
  14. I'm tempted to buy a pair of Warman P pups for my Hofner 189 resurrection. If anyone has used their pickups I'd be interested in opinions. Thank you!
  15. The EMG Select pickups sounded fantastic. Loved the sound of the one I had.
  16. Righton straps have a little pick pocket at the butt end of the guitar, it's so handy. They're also damn good straps.
  17. Jack Cassady at a giveaway price.... https://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/left-handed-epiphone-jack-casady-bass/1468243460 *This is not mine! I don't know the seller, etc. And there's no way I'd part with mine for remotely near that price!
  18. I think due to size rather than weight postage is likely to be more than £5, sorry I can't do £25 posted.
  19. Always good to have backups.... Just knocked the price down
  20. Thanks unfortunately this is more than a kettle lead type thing. I would like to buy a UK replacement but not sure how to decipher all the electrical gubbins. I don't expect they make a UK version of this at all, sadly.
  21. Once more asking for your wisdom and advice. I've got a Harley Benton power plant thingy on my board now because I wanted the slimness of it and the number of outputs. Of course it came with a European PSU and a UK wall socket adaptor. I'd like to replace the European PSU for a UK one so I don't have a big and wobbly connection into the mains that my singer or a punter putting down their jacket/ handbag/ drink could knock over. I've photographed the plug...
  22. It's interesting when you look at it... Nikki Sixx is hardly a great bass player but he's written loads of songs for other artists, I think Tommy Lee is underrated as a drummer, I love Mick Mars' feel and tone. But it all seems to be undermined by the "bad-boy" behaviour and image, they seem to be more about that than their music. Having read "the dirt" too it's hard to imagine they'd be fun to hang around with for more than twenty minutes.
