Ok so it's a minimum requirement rather than a maximum?

I needed a new power supply and picked up what I thought was a bargain... Except it has three banks for 9v 100mA and three for 9v 500mA. On my other power supply almost all slots are for 9v 100mA. I'm checking my pedals, some clearly say 9v 100mA but others don't specify beyond 9v. Am I taking a risk plugging any pedal into 500mA if I'm not sure?

I love these combos. I was living in a second floor flat when I had mine and I sold it to @TheGreek so I know it went to a good home. Still my favourite sound though. Add an extension cab and you'll cause earthquakes. I just wish Ashdown could recreate that sound.

Mine copes fine with the hot output from an MM Stingray and the low B on a Sire V9. The standard bass amp models don't sound great but if you log on and download things like the SWR modeller then it's a big improvement.

Thanks everyone. The same seller has my old Streamer LX at £1,599. I bought it for £450ish around 2007 and sold it for about the same a few years later. Secondhand lefty Warwick prices are all over the place. I was tempted by that fretless, the body wood and the neck are attractive but the cheap bridge and the pickups were putting me off.

Just wanted to check on this Warwick. It looks great.... But! The body is bothering me. It doesn't have the two piece bridge, and it has chrome hardware, which makes me think "Rockbass" range, but not in that wood! Is this a genuine 2001 German made Warwick or is it a Rockbass body with a German neck? How are Laney for support? I toyed with getting a Laney rig before I stuck to upgrading my Ashdown from Rootmaster to ABM.

I've had a Spark, not the mini version, for about a year... I can't find the review I did of it but long and short of it is that of you get some decent settings downloaded off the app then it opens up, the settings that come as it is aren't great. Despite its size it's good for practicing with bass, even five string. For electric guitar it's very good, can't remember if I had this while I still had an electro acoustic. I've not yet used it to record but I had a Blackstar BEAM which is very similar and loved how easy that was to record into Audacity on my PC. Hope that helps, or if there's anything specific I'll try my best to help... I've not gone deep into the functions of it but I do give it a lot of use.

A long time ago I remember reading that the Marshall Guvnor is good for bass because of its EQ control. I was looking for a decent overdrive because I just can't get the exact sound I want from a drive, they either don't go far enough (the valve drive on my ABM 600) or they go too far with no sweet spot. I took a punt on a Guvnor to do the age old buy it second hand and if it doesn't fit sell it without loss. So far, I'm pleased with it. It gives a nice guitar like overdrive sound but there's a four band EQ onboard as well as gain and level dials. This pedal will be really useful for both fiercely driven sounds but also low gain volume boosts. I haven't played with the EQ much yet but so far I've got the bass on max, "deep" on about 70%, treble at about 20% and mids just under 50%. With the gain all the way up I'm getting a really nice guitar like overdrive sound but with all the low end intact and no piercing highs jumping out, as a lot of even bass drives can do often do. So far, so good!

I've only ever seen them, never heard, and I love the look. However, the only lefty I've seen cost the same as a second hand car, but I'm pretty sure there's a cheaper rockbass version for right handers.

There's loads of other good modelling/ effects included solutions. If you want to use it for guitar too I had a Blackstar BEAM, sold it stupidly, then got a Positive Grid Spark. Both are great little recording interfaces and have onboard effects. There's an old Fender Bronco combo that has integrated effects, it's old tech but the sounds are really good.

Had one for a brief while, the sounds are very good but I couldn't get on with the tracking, sadly.

Nice! I adore my Stingray but I'm really pining for a good jazz. I've got two jazz basses at the moment, they're very good, I'm just being irrational.

Nice! Is there any volume difference between the P and J pups? My bitsa was lovely but I couldn't stand the big volume drop between the pups.

I agree you're right on the principle, I just think it needs a class-action type thingy to put an end to it. Trying to argue your one individual case against someone on minimum wage to answer the phone is pretty hopeless, as I have too much experience of!
