  1. I don't suppose you'd swap it for my Lakland Daryl Jones that is listed here for sale?
  2. Adapting to fan frets is a good issue, basexperience. I found when playing a bassline from muscle memory, that all was well. The interesting thing is that when you break from a flowing line and then need to hit a note, perhaps a sustained one, I had to look to see where to fret my finger. In the dark, I did find that was a bit challenging. I bought Chicken as pre-loved, but I notice that listings for new ones say that they come with luminescent side dot inlays. I've not noticed any luminescence! Makes me wonder about having LED side dots installed.
  3. Just got and gigged my first wonky. I've named her 'Chicken'. I've had a few Ibanez basses before, but this is the first with Nordstrands, which I consider a definite improvement.
  4. Still looking for a permanent sticksmith!
  5. If you have a quality 5-string electro-acoustic you can trade for this, then I'm all ears!
  6. A patient buyer, knowledgeable about international shipping/customs and an excellent master of the English language. I sold him my Safran fretless and I'd happily trade with Hellzero again.

@Born 2B Mild you might want to post that here:

      Thanks. 😊

  8. Now on that well known auction site, so if you were sitting on the fench (ouch!) on this, you might want to make a move.
  9. Back in Blighty now. Shorts off, jeans and socks on. Got to thin my herd sooner than later, with house move imminent. So, bump up the volume brothers and sisters 😁
  10. I'm just back from holiday and have a buyer for the house, so bumping this beauty up.
  11. Well, using the standing on the bathroom scales (with and without bass) method, I make it 3.9 kilos or 8.6 pounds. But that's not exactly scientific!
  12. Update: I've now found out from Lakland that she was made in 2015.
  13. I will be very very sad to let this one go. Until I rekindled my love of 5-string basses, this was my first choice stage bass. For a passive bass it has a genuinely impressive tonal range, from Ricky to Old School honk. She's in pretty decent condition.
  14. There are NO controls, no pickup variations and no piezo (interesting though, that could be a retro fit). A demo recording? Gawd I will give it a try. I'd much rather a frequent fretless player come and do that. Any volunteers?
  15. Having ran Bass Gear for eight years, I had the pick for myself of whatever I could afford. In that time, the best fretless I EVER had in the shop was this beauty. I just had to have her, but times change and I'm thinning the herd ahead of a house move. Hand made by master luthier Umut Dal in April 2015 using his own bridge and pickup design, this light weight hollow bodied bass has a top wood of master grade flamed katalox and katalox fingerboard. It has descrete fretmarkings on the side of the fingerboard. If I needed Umut to make me a replacement now, I suspect it would be at least double what I'm asking for it. If you are interested in having a truly expressive fretless then you really must try this.
  16. Hit Songs at Summer Fetes ...could be the name of the band, but it isn't. Broadband are based in Broadhempston and have been gigging in south Devon for five years. We are all retired and play for the fun of it.
  17. For originals band with gigs coming up in June at Stables, Milton Keynes etc. Fronted by quality 'Fleetwood Mac influenced' songstress. Posting for a friend. Message me for direct contact details.
  18. The Diamond Bass Comp is simply best compressor pedal that I've ever found.
  19. Here are the Current Draw figures. NB: I wont be using them all at the same time. MOOER PEDAL Current Draw mA Pure Octave 128 Yellow Comp 10 Acoutstikar 17 Shim Verb 128 Groove Loop 140 Baby Tuner 90 Reecho Delay 128 Graphic G 7 SansAmp Bass Driver DI v.1 6 Total 654
  20. I will certainly do what is safest, but seven cables might be more messy than one. Thanks for your comments. I've not dared use so many pedals before but I want to stereo in to two rigs with different FX per channel.
  21. Great. I can wait, but don't blow anything on my part!
  22. A question for you pedal experts... I've got a Dunlop DC10 power brick and want to power seven 9v pedals from it. Sadly, I've lost the cables and need to order. Should I buy seven separate cables, or can a single daisy chain lead work from just one of its outputs? dunlopbrick.jfif
