harrogate sounds good to me! I'll add a poll for preferred day! Jake
Good idea. Once we are further down the road on this, I'll see if Jim Fleeting wants to show some of his creations ...maybe demonstrated by AARGH! ?

Talk about a timely thread! Having been inspired by the recent North East mini convention (not that I went), I was about to suggest I sorted something out similar for a Harrogate venue. I was thinking of it being a Saturday in late Jan or Feb. The reason for Harrogate is its easy to get to from the A1 for the North East members, and of also most of Leeds, Bradford and York is within 25 miles. There's also several BCers in Harrogate already. I have a venue in mind that can cope with all numbers. So, if folk want me to proceed with this, I will.
Er .. that will neck dive like bu663ry, limeted bridge adjustment, pound Vs dollar's pretty poor right now .... that enough?
I agree about the bridge, but I'm happy with a high action, so fine adjustments are not so vital. I'm wanting to put flats on, and play mellow, so the PUPs just need to do a basic job. And as for neck dive ...I used to gig a Gibson T-Bird, so I think I can handle that! My hope is that it is made to a reasonable level of robustness, but my worry is that it will be fragile and the guarantee irrelevant due to the cost of returning it to the states. Keep on putting me off though!

I have a few things ending on eBay today, and I'm tempted to spend the proceeds on this 5 string hollow body It goes against my principles (try before I buy, buying used instead of new, must have block inlays etc.) I just wondered if anyone can put me off due to previous experiences with this product line/vendor. It will cost £153 delivered, excluding customs add-ons.
Hello all! You can hear some 'raw' clips of this cab on this thread: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=32690
I'm still tempted for a swap WoT. It's not that far between Geordie land and Bettysville

Every day, somewhere in the world, loads of brand new bass guitars are 'born'. Whether they eminate from luthiers or factories, there are lots and lots coming in to the world all the time. But do bass guitars go the Great Bass Gallery In The Sky at the same rate? If more are created than destroyed, will the world be big enough, or will we all need to have bass harems in order to manage the increasing masses? or what?

Whats your one bass that you couldn't live without
Born 2B Mild replied to birdy's topic in General Discussion
Whilst my most vital bass is my Spector Euro LX5-EX, it is replaceable. However, if I had to take only one with me from my hyperthetically blazing house. it would be my 25 year old fretless Jazz Bass, that I got from Richard Sinclair (Caravan/Hatfield & The North/Camel) ... irreplaceable. -
Hello! Of course... lifted straight from the site: Handling: 1200w RMS, 58lbs (26.5kgs), 23.5" x 23.5" x 16" (it passes Warwickhunt's 'walk through a door while carrying it' test). It has jack & speakon inputs, and a horn attenuator. Hope this helps...
Thank you. If your research brings you in to the vicinity of Bergantinos, let me know. I have a HT112 and a EX112. I changed from Schroeder single cab to have two cabs so I could just take one small cab with me to gigs with my quiet band, but use both for my loud band. Having left he quiet band, I don't have the same needs anymore and I do like 10"'ers.
I've been doing it for a year and a half and feel my musical knowledge and enjoyment has gone up leaps and bounds.
As a result of this thread, I'm now downloading Raphael Saadiq's album. That's the good thing about Napster To Go ...you get wind of something and the next thing you know you are listening to it. Plus, it's 100% legal, with artists (including the album I recorded with Angie Shaw) getting royalties from this channel. Sorry, if I sound like I work for the company. I don't!
