Jazz

Just sold on my 2002 CS Relic '64 Jazz Love my Montego Black US Deluxe (the one that was for sale on here for a year) ...and need to finish off "Triggers broom" with a proper bridge and maybe a chunk of Ebony. I'll post piccies when she's done but a 1989 Samick Korean Squier Jazz could end up very nice indeed. Already has Hipshot D Tuner and proper Bassslines Pickups. I would change the neck but headstock is signed by one Mr Billy Sheehan Something Japanese and Fretless may be an alternative
2. (Sensible) Offers ?
3. Got a CS relic in those colours if you're interested ?
4. Bump from Me. Bargain price and note earlier than mine was so has the carbon/graphite neck. Well worth it
5. Bump from me.....was sorely tempted. Bargain at that !
6. Shameless bump for offers
7. Anyone after one of these? £75 o.n.o. seems reasonable. Collect only (Near Pontefract). Boxed, as new. http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/LX1B-PRO.aspx It's an older one (6yrs+) so may benefit from the Eprom update that's out there. Alternatively I'm after a good compressor/limiter or Wah Wah. Ta, David
8. I'm assuming it's fretted, and where in the world are you ? Ta, David
9. Happy bunny is understatement. Better than shop new thanks to two very careful owners Now restrung and action set. Yum Thanks Kevin, a credit to you. Dave
10. Thank you, I'm sure the lack of Graphite rod's also keeps the weight down. That would put it more like 3.5kg
11. Little bump, I'm away from this at the moment and a prospective purchaser has asked how much do they weigh. Can anyone oblige? My guess is sub 4kg ? Ta, Dave
12. Status Energy 4 String in Ash finish Bolt on 2 octave wood neck (not Graphite) 9V active, nicely balanced Great Intonation and low action With Status branded Hiscox liteflite case Now Sold - Thank you
13.
Sold pending payment
One that got away.... Lovely thing
14. Coming home in a few weeks and in quandry as to my cheap OLP bought out here. BA have no problem allowing 'guitar' sized instrument as free extra hand luggage. Unfortunately Taipei to Hong Kong leg is Cathay Pacific and online policy is very anti instrument So looks like it's coming home in 2 pieces.
15. Anyone got a written transcription of this cracking bassline? It's 'sort of' out there on You Tube but I'd prefer to have notation. While I'm here check out the two part Masterclass with Paul Jackson and Mike Clark on Drums NO apologies if posted before just good stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=US&v=AFcpBB4Yy_M Awesome !!! Ta David

17. Well I'm back in Peoples Republic of Yorkshire in a Month... If still around I'll be up to try (then buy). That should guarantee a sale
18. Hen Hao, ta muchly We're building the Slab Caster part of a Iron and Steelworks on the coast North of Taichung (not far from Shalu). Enjoying it but missing normal life back home Still, in our line there are much worse places to be. Fantastic island, people and Taiwan Gim Pai Pijou ain't half bad I think more of my daily allowance will be going into the local music shops in the new year. Empty Hiscox case may accompany me back out.
Ni hao Ni hao ma? What are you up to in Taiwan?
19. Well greetings all, not new here but far too long since I posted This place has got me playing again. Went out to get a cheaper than cheap bass to keep my sanity. I am now the proud owner of a black OLP Music Man Copy and an amazing little Roland Micro Cube Bass RX. Inspiring stuff and maybe one day the gear tart in me will go and buy a real Musicman. Some good deals to be had on more serious kit and already been loaned a SWR for a little pub gig ... the bass was supposed to keep me out ! Anyway hopefully back here to contribute more than a 'for sale' ad I'll start with a few little links you might like for practising along to. Apologies if repeating someone elses posts. 20. Greetings all. Put off posting until could be sure this forum would last. Really enjoyed looking around tonight trying to get inspired into next project etc. My collection consists of a Jazz Custom Shop (keep trying to sell), Status Energy Ash (definitely selling as neck too wide for my taste, shame), Takamine EG512C (great toy) and most precious of them all a Korean Squier Jazz !!!! Yes you heard right, started as white scratchplate, rosewood fretboard, off white £150 tool from Carlsbro in Sheffield 20+ years ago. Over time I've added a Tortoiseshell scratchplate, vintage knobs, Hipshot D Tuner, Basslines Active pickups (no extra battery routing) and managed to get her signed by Billy Sheehan when at Uni in Newcastle. I've also added my own customisation trying to call a 'worse for wear' percussionist back from the garden. Bass+door+horizontal=dint and broken tuner (hence the Hipshot). Worth sod all but everything to me..... Wish I was gigging regularly but that'll come again. Hopefully got a tutor sorted at very least. Peer pressure is great for progress. Cheers David
