SOLD Ashdown ABM Mini 15 [mk 2 with Oval Handles]
outsider70 replied to bumnote's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
How compact are these mini cabs? Does a normal ABM head still sit on top of it fine? I'm looking for something that could be quite light and portable. I've googled, but it's hard to find info on these! Thanks in advance
http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.asp?ID=56 -
Hassle-free, good comms and a lovely chap to boot. Theo.
I'll second that! Just bought an Ashdown ABM 410 from Muddythespark.
That's some practice setup I've gone and done it. I have the last one in stock in the warehouse at Digital Village set aside for me to pay for next week.
Be sure to tell us your thoughts once you have tested it!
well that was my plan as well. Use 1 as a monitor for the wedding band and have a second one to use with the rock band. They've been getting some good reviews on Talkbs but they ain't for the hifi mob apparently. Meant to sound really rocky and aggressive which suits me down to the ground. Thought I'd check here first before going for it.
similar plan here, one for rehearsals, two for gigs. been thinking about the ashdown compacts too, but the laneys are lighter. rocky and aggressive suits me too!

I'm also interested in how they sound. Quite fancy having 2.

outsider70 replied to Tradfusion's topic in Amps and Cabs
Has anyone managed to get a GK MBE 210 extension cabinet yet ?
I was looking into these myself, but availability is an issue. Soundslive never replied to my emails but Thomman have them down as in stock 26 Nov http://www.thomann.de/gb/gallien_krueger_210mbe.htm -

I read somewhere, maybe Talkbass, that he was now using Bass Pod XT Pro. There was also mention of Bass Big Muff too.
i'm a long time fender jazz fan but i find myself becomming a tad bored with them & it's time for a change. i've had a SG bass & loved it,but sold it a while ago--silly boy,i liked its powerful sound too. every time i play a jazz i end up cutting the tone on the bass & boosting the low end on my amp (& always have done) to get the sound i want but never get there. we are a blues band with vocal/drums/1 guitar/bass/ so i need a nice full punchy sound to fill the gaps in so i'm wondering if a T'bird wil give me this,i'm pretty certain it will. i'm probably going to have to mail order one so won't get chance to play it first-which is a bugger but hey ho-or i may just get another SG as i know that will do what i want,i just fancy something different. so any T'bird players what do you reckon & do you want my jazz ? cheers Neil
Have a listen here: http://www.youtube.com/WishboneInfo

I've owned and used this beauty for ten years. It's been my main bass during that time. I'm no longer gigging so would like this to go to a good home! 1987-88 MIJ Precision Bass. Black body and scratchplate, maple neck, Badass 11, Seymour Duncan passive PUPS. Dunlop straplocks. Freestyle hard case and leather strap included. It's aged really well and is a pleasure to play, and sounds amazing! Naturally there are a few very minor signs of use, which means the odd dent and surface marks from plectrums, belts etc. But there are NO serious signs of use, paint is intact. The maple neck is a lovely warm colour, again only the odd sign of wear. Tuners are slightly tarnished but would polish up ok, personally I prefer the aged look so I've left them as is. I have a price in mind of £450 posted. Any questions or further pics required, just contact me. I will post in UK only. For sale is this black bass case. Will house Fender 'p' or 'jazz', not sure about anything else. Ask for measurements if unsure. Nearly new with very little use, although it has one or two minor scuffs to the exterior. Collection from West Yorks, Wakefield area. £40
I'm going to be a pedant here and say it's a bit misleading as this isn't S1 circuit. It's a series/parallel switch. S1 refers to the Fender specific latching switch. It may perform the same function, though.
Never meant to mislead anyone. Same effect as S1 but is a push pull pot for series/parallel switching.
Interested, but that right hand pot looks a little bent. Does it all work?
Hi You're right, just checked it. It is not bent but it had come adrift slightly during dismantling from the bass. All is ok now and yes it works perfectly.
