Am I the only one who hasn't been to a member of Embrace's house? --- The band sounds great, Jake. I like the arrangement, but +1 on the vox. The singer doesn't sound at ease with it, maybe too much rehearsal? It all lifts at around 2:43, though, with the early '90s guitar sound. It sounds great, but I do think it's worth another pop. What do you think of it? edit: nice tone, btw. And very tasteful lines.
Well, i think the song is ok arragnement wise, ye we all think the vocals are a little quiet and deffinatly agree about vocals being a little off ease, but belive me, that was a very very long day! haha. Backing vocals we can't do much about, as me and the drummer arn't the best of singers you see! Bass tone wise, warwick streamer LX ---> di ---> Protools/cubase on those recordings, so its pure bass, then software compressors etc.. Cheers about the basslines, i try to keep things interesting but not take anything away from the song. -Jake
I can hear what you mean about the vocals, Si... same goes for the backing vocals All of the other songs sound great though! Does sound a lot like Coldplay and Athlete's first albums (the best one's, IMO) - very impressive!
Thanks for that, Athlete are easily my favorite band ever, seen them atleast 5 times! -Jake
Sounds good to me!! Programmed drums? The vocals get a tiny bit lost in the mix for me, could be just my speakers though. But yeah, great song! Si
Yeh they are programmed drums on When The Stars Hit The Sky, but there only staying like that till i can get into my uncles studio! The rest of them were recorded at Micky Dales house, who is the piano player from embrace! Thanks guys. Jake

Ok, i have a 3 year old Okeetee corn snake with a farily large tank. It's been well looked after but due to the new dog going mental at the snake, the snakes got to go. I'm not sure what to ask but the tank & stand are worth atleast £50 although the tank has a crack in one of its sides. Its looks like the snake in the pic below, i will provide all the accessories needed etc.. Local pick up only, or drop of locally. Just shoot me an offer, i'll add actual pics later! Jake

I think the best thing for you to do is take your head to your local music store and try it with all the cabs they have and see what you like. If you cant do that, the hartke VX speaker cabs are really nice sounding, but i don't think they have a 210. If your after something with easy transport, have you thought about the Hartke 210tp. Its only Dimensions: 14"(H) X 24"(W) X 12"(D) and weighs 36 lb which isn't bad for £175. I recently got one as a backup gigging bass as my streamer was getting a bit battered but i can foresee this taking over as my main bass in the future! Jake
how can you possibly afford that at 17??? if you live at home, i hope you pay your parents rent, as you can clearlyyyy afford to!
Ok ok, there is some trickery there, the marshall stack was being sold to pay for the orange, and its my twin brothers. All the bass stuff is mine, payed by me from inheritance money from my grandad passing away, so its not asif i was spoilt or owt, then what you can see of the pa system, me and my bro split it half way from money left over and got it at special trade prices as my uncle is co-owner of www.proaudiosystems.co.uk I do live at home, bt don't pay rent as i'm still in college so don't have enough income, i owe some money to my mum, but she always gets it back. -Jake

I had a hartke HA3500 with a VX410 & VX115 stack for acouple of years. There really really nice sounding amps, pretty versatile and pretty loud for its rating. To be honest, i thought that the cabs were THE best cabs in the price range, i used them for a good year with my Fafner head without even wanting to upgrade. I've never liked ashdown gear, every show i've played with one, its sounded muddy and wooley, between the two, hartke definitely. Jake
Er, if its too big why not just use 1 cab? Or is it just an excuse for GAS?
I prefer using both cabs, but running out of room in the van for it, and with everything getting cased with the band, to get it cased separately would cost a fortune, and to case as one thing would be to big for me. Ok, this is only a feeler at the moment, looking for a change. Ideally looking for trades only but if you offer the right price i'll be willing to sell. I'm gonna say pick up only or local delivery/half meet for petrol money. Thanks. edit: this amp is in near PERFERCT condition par afew cracked and scratched corners. I have only gigged this head maybe 10 times? and the cabs even less, maybe 4? The reason for sale is that its to big for my needs, want to cut down to a 1 cab & pre+power route. Cheers -Jake
Since I got my two 1x12s I haven't gigged this cab in over 2 years. I'm no longer gigging regularly so reluctantly I'm going to have to let it go. £500 including custom soft cover. No offers or trades please.
Absoluetly no trades what so ever? i really really want one of these but have nothing in the way of cash. -Jake

Hi, i have a Streamer LX5, but a JJ model. If you look for the serial number, normally on the back of the head stock, the last 2 numbers are the year of manufacture. I can't really help much more than that except say that there really really nice basses and can take one hell of a beating. -Jake
