Looking at the specs of the Rumble it would suggest you cant add an extension cab as it runs full output @ 4 ohms and its internal speaker is 4 ohms, so no where to go really. In real terms you probaby want more than 100 watts anyway, what budget do you have if any? The Ashdown Electric Blue range(180 watts) and the MAG range(300 watts) are superb no frills gigging workhorses...

Anyon spot this one aswell? Looks interesting. My credit card just twitched

Another thumbs up from me for Ashdown, Ive used loads of Ashdown over the years , ABM and now Klystron and never had an issue whatsoever, may be gassing again when their new valve heads come out!
Mark says the BTA is 100% UK made. why is it in a series called the US series?
I guess being 'all tube' its US influenced and aimed at that market? Sounds like there's lots going on at Ashdown anyway, curious to see what else they hve planned.
G'day Pal1972, some people "say what they like", and they might even "like what they say"....but it doesn't necessarily follow that they know what they are talking about,... but that doesn't really matter when you talk through your arse !! A lot of people on this forum bash Ashdown,..but in my opinion, a good percentage of those that do, are simply repeating what they hear others say, and have NO experience of the product. If you look through the For Sale Amps / Cabs section on this forum, you will see that only a small percentage is Ashdown gear, (yours included) and it always seems to resell. I would also use your own experience, with your Mag 300, as a bit of a guide as well...it gave ya no dramas. !! I have been having a play lately at the local music shop with the chrome faced Ashdown amp 500 watt, I think its the ABM ?? and it sounds fantastic, and can give a huge array of tones...its been going through a Mag 4x10 and 1x15. Also,.. the Technician at the same shop offered these comments when I picked his brains about Ashdown gear, he said that "he see's very little of the Ashdown product come through for repair, compared to the high end expensive stuff, and when it does its generally something simple"...that's good enough for me. The shop is run by musicians,.. for musicians, and they don't stock crap according to the manager,...and the place is full of Ashdown gear. (When I have saved enough dollars, I will get myself the Aguilar GS412, simply because I want a cab with all the same size speakers, and 12's seem to be the sweet spot). (for me) And I will probably get an Ashdown amp, as the recommended amp for the Aguilar cab is ridiculously priced. !! Bassmansky has it right with his comments. As does Andy Martin,...a few words can say so much. !! Warpig is also onto it. This has been a bit "long winded", and I probably haven't helped you very much either, if at all, but,.... I would be inclined to listen to informed individuals and not "tossers"s (as you Brits call w***ers) ??
+1 Nicely said.
if you like an indistinct woolly sound then ashdown should deliver
Lol, I for one love it!

As far as I know the MAG 600 is basically the MAG pre-amp with the 575 watt poweramp from the ABM 500 head so should sound great, superb value for money in my opinion. Basically if you like the tone from your 300H but want more power and headroom you cant go wrong.
Umm, can't the 900 run 2 Vintages?
Indeed
-
That is a scary amp.
Yeah wouldnt fancy that being knocked of an 810 onto a body part! 8 x KT88's though
-
Yup the only Ashdown heads that you can run 2x 4 ohm 8x10s off are teh ABM 900 and Klystron 1000, both have 2 x powerstages so you can put 575 watts into each cab. Thinking about it a superfly or little giant 1000 should run 2 x 4 ohm 810's too!
-
Anyone know when these wll be in the shops? My heart says try me, my back says stay away ;-)

Love Ashdown, wouldnt use anything else and judging by the amount of top bands who i've seen using them when watching this weekends V fest coverage Im not the only one...

Don't think you could go wrong with an Ashdown Electric Blue, 180 watts into a 15 inch driver and only £249... http://www.soundsliveshop.com/p/Ashdown_EB...mbo/ASH-EB15180
i guess jj burnel of the stranglers does'nt own a wooly jumper then
Lmao
I agree their cabs are not the best even the abm range which i have, but the abm heads are the dogs b@@@@@@s in my opinion. As i have stated on here before the amps do need tinkering with to get the sound you are after. They are not plug in and play amps.Bet there is several ashdown rigs at glastonbury this weekend, wooly or not loadsa people love them(and a few hate them!)
+1

I changed from an svt cl and 810 to Ashdown a few years back replacing my Ampeg with an ABM 500 head and 810 and have never looked back although I did upgrade to a Klystron rig but mainly due to GAS the Ashdown gives you the Ampeg grind and warmth but with more definition and punch than I ever got out of the Ampeg plus much lighter which makes trips from the van easier!

What rack case for Ashdown ABM EVO III rack amp??
phatbass787 replied to Linus27's topic in Amps and Cabs
Looking to get a 2u rack case for my Ashdown ABM EVO III rack amp head. Has anyone done the same and can recommend what they are using or suggest any. My local shop has the Stagg one but not sure if its any good. Need it in a bit of a hurry as in this Saturday if possible Thanks
Ooo, you gassed on an ABM then? Good work, how do you like it compared to your MAG?
