There's plenty that are around the £49 that will be fine for this sort of thing. They might need a bit of a tweak to get the action right, but that's the only problem I've had with real cheappies., I'm assuming tone isn't an issue.

Sound Control Group appoints adminstrators Apr 30 2008 John Reid and Bill Dawson of Deloitte, the business advisory firm, have been appointed Administrators of Sound Control Holdings Limited (“Holdings”) and certain of its subsidiaries (“the Group”) following applications to the courts by the Group’s Directors. The Group operates from 26 stores across the UK, under the brand names Sound Control, Media Tools, Turnkey and Soho Sound House, and is the largest musical instrument retailer in the UK. Cheers[/quote] They don't, they have two outputs Each pickup has it's own output, so you can take the bassy neck pickup to a bass amp, and the more trebly bridge pickup to a guitar amp. Or two bass amps... or whatever..... Edit - although it should be clarified that what I've described is rick-o-sound and requires a Y lead. Guitars without rick-o-sound just have two outputs that do the same thing, rather than one that does the split and one mono Double edit - i've probably confused this with that waffle The other guy said it better in less words....

You can spot them easily due to the bat inlays; the headstocks tend to vary though. Def. from some random chinese place - there was chinese branded silica gel in the box.....
