Hello Basschat.

My name is Al Roberts. I am 27 years old, and have been playing the bass for more than thirteen years. I was born in County Durham, and now live in Newcastle. I am a veteran of the Newcastle music scene of the past few years, and have played with bands such as BERK, MASS, and ZADOK (see links below). I got into bass playing cos my hands are too big to play the guitar! To cut a long story short, I am currently in the process of selling everything I own to be with the woman I love in Germany (soppy I know). I was recommended BassChat by a friend as a means of selling my absolute pride and joy, my Fender Jazz. She's served me well in ZADOK over the past few years, but now it's time for me to start spending my time with a real woman. At the risk of blowing my own trumpet, I am a highly accomplished bass player, and spent many years playing for hours every day (listen to Zadok's Unit of Judo EP for evidence of my abilities), but now I feel it is time for a new challenge. Hello BassChat.

I am selling an American Standard Fender Jazz. I bought it new in 2009 from Guitarguitar in Newcastle. The serial number is Z8222890. It is sunburst, with a tortoiseshell scratchplate.

I am looking for £650, plus postage if you don't want to pick it up.

There are a few scratches on the body, mainly dinks to the varnish from several years of gigging. There is a deeper scratch on the bottom of the bass, approximately 2mm deep, from when a careless friend dropped the bass from a small height. The bass is generally in great condition, and plays like an absolute monster. The bass comes with a Fender hard case.


I have numerous high quality photos of the bass from various angles, please contact me and I'll gladly send them over.
