Im toying with the idea of upgrading the pickups in my mexican jazz but im not sure what to put in their place. One option is seymour duncan bassline p/u's or a set of Bartolini. Anyone any ideas or maybe you have upgraded your p/u's in your Jazz ? Replacements must be passive Thanks

only ever used one bass wah, the Dunlop bass wah pedal. for what i use it for, i'm more than happy with it

Tc Electronic Polytune. i'm pretty sure that will do 430Hz. Its accurate too at 0.5cent

i struggle to learn some things (songs), so i tend to break the song down into managable sections and slow it down and just concentrate on that little piece of the song. Once i can play that section i just speed it up a little, and then a bit more until im at full speed

Hey Kev, I'm trying my best with Dark Ages, but there is a lot going on in that song. When all of the other instruments kick in i really struggle to hear the bass lines clearly. I'll get there eventually though. I had a look online for tull tabs and to be honest, everyone that i looked at was wrong. I managed to get SFTW note perfect, but it was a labour of love. Hunting Girl wasn't too bad and Heavy Horses drove me bonkers but i eventually got it. I have a Stingray...now all i need is a barn and i'm sorted.

Anybody want a flight case? It's made by a company called Freestyle. Its covered in thick black carpet, ali edges all the way around with big corners, black furry lining. it originally was for a les paul bass, but i'm sure it will fit a lot of others. Internal dimensions 13.5 inch wide X 45 and three quaters long, 3 and a quater inch deep. The fur lining is a bit loose near one of the three locks, but a spot of glue would sort that. its only a small loose bit. Other than that, this case is near mint condition. But it's big and heavy and in my way. Hence the freebie. Collection ONLY please. i cant post this, its too big. But if you want it, come and get it i can post pics if you want, but im pretty sure we all know what a flight case looks like :-) Edit: forgot to say that there are no shaped cushions inside of this (thats how it was made, i aint removed them) other than the thick cushion that holds the neck near the headstock. its basically a rectangular box. Thanks! Yeah HH was a complete git to crack, but i got there eventually. some very odd time changes it that one. SFTW is probaly my favorite song of all time. That just had to be nailed. Glasscock was in my opinion, a fine and very articulate player :-)
