Total Watts

  1. Cheers Lozz. I think it was The Plough And Harrow in Harpenden. I was playing with 111 (Simone and Howie's band)
  2. Apparently the official announcement will be made this week
  3. I bought my first bass in December 1988, a white Japanese Squier Precision. I didn't get on with it tonally and feel-wise, so I traded it in a couple of months later, and got a Tokai Jazz Sound (which I still play)
  4. There's also a gloss Candy Apple Red now. It hit the UK shops last week https://www.gak.co.uk/en/sterling-ray4-hh-sub-bass-candy-apple-red/943005
  5. I've always thought that Stingrays sound great, unless I'm playing one. To be honest, most single pickup basses don't give me the sound I want. (I think it's down to that weird tuning I use) I wondered if an HH Stingray could be the answer, so I tried one, and it is the answer. I didn't buy this to be my first choice bass, just to give me some more options. It arrived half an hour ago, and all seems to be in order. I'll give it a proper setup and play later on.
  6. Paul Gardiner Lou Howard Tony Butler Duck Dunn Sir Horace Gentleman Barry Adamson Rick Barrio Dill Jamie Stewart Mark Bedford Jackie Jackson Simon Gallup Rob Jones (The Bass Thing)
  7. £1299 for the Roadworn at PMT. https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/fender-60th-anniversary-road-worn-60s-jazz-bass-olympic-white
  8. https://guitar.com/news/gear-news/fender-jazz-bass-60th-anniversary/ It looks like there a few more options for the 60th Anniversary Jazz Bass
  9. I've just bought my old bass back. I bought it new in March 1989, but used it to cover an outstanding storage bill at our rehearsal studio about 10 years later. I've always had the option of buying it back, and I finally got around to it today. Needs a clean and some new knobs, but it still feels like my bass.
  10. He still uses it. I took this photo in March last year
  11. I quite like the look of this. PJ setup, stacked pots, sunburst finish, reasonable price... It's ticking quite a few boxes Squier Classic Vibe Jaguar Bass
  12. A new Fender range. "Vintage style for the modern modern era" 60s Jazz 70s Jazz 50s Precision 60s Mustang
  13. Trace Elliot Elf combos https://peavey.com/news/article.cfm/action/view/id/945/cat/1/article.cfm
