1. Any interest in a trade for a fretless unlined SR4 for a fretted SR4. Been trying to trade my fretless neck for a fretted to no avail. Swapped original neck for a Status fretless neck. As I rarely play the fretless was wondering if anybody was up for a trade. Intend to keep the Status neck for as and when I need to play fretless. Bass as new condition (never gigged) in natural Maple semi gloss finish. If any interest will post images. Only interested in trade for an SR4 Natural/Maple or a 4 string Status Classic 4 string headless. 1997 model with one previous owner. Have placed images in a PDF file below as the images I tried posting would only display very small. Will take better pictures next week. 2. Sold a GigBag to Mike, fast payment and a smooth transaction.
3. Bargain Bump. I replaced the neck on my fretless SR4 with a Status, I am now looking to move the original on as bass is now 100% better with the Status neck. If anyone buys this they will never regret it.
4. Looking to sell my Warwick Gig Bag. Bag on sale at Thomann website http://www.thomann.d...g_bag_leder.htm Bag is leather outer with velvet inner. Shoulder straps can be removed or stored in zip pockets. Bag in almost new condition and has hardly been used. Bought myself a double gig bag so no use for bag. Looking for £50.00 with postage. 5. Anybody intereseted in trading a SR4 fretless neck for a fretted one? Replaced with a Status one. In excellant almost new condition 9/10. Just the one owner before me who had purchased bass at Matt Umanov Guitars in New York in 1997 and had never gigged with it when I bought it. Replaced the neck soon after. 6.

Many Thanks Joebass. Transcription almost spot on. Great fun to play.
7. Still looking for this!
8. Have you checked out Steve Glasgows transcriptions of AJ's lines?
9. Cheers, AJ is the dogs privates as far as I am concerned.
10. Open strings should be used as and when needed and never overlooked when playing a riff that requires a large shift of position, if an open string can be used to make a change of position smoother. I have included a PDF file which demonstrates this. It so happens that the two examples are very similar but these are the only two transcriptions I could think of where the open string could be used in this way.. Both are Stevie Wonder songs so it could be that is why they are similar. I am also aware my explanation of playing in position deserves a better explanation if I have not made myself 100% clear. One final note, why not play an open string with the same note fretted or even alternating between the two, mute one and play the other etc.etc.
11. Nice one Jake. Thanks for this. I am not sure how it can be just me but, transcription page doesn't show properly, I can only presume that if yoy used tables to write the page then they are somehow overlapping. The buttons are sitting ontop of the text. I checked the page with IE and Chrome and they are the same. I can send you a screen snapshot if you want so you can see the problem.
12. Bought a Drum Machine from Earbrass, Great communication , good packaging, quick postage. Highly recommended to all Cheers
13. Still interested in a copy of volume 3.
14. It depends how hard you do the slap,
15. For me double thumbing is just too awkward. The Mark King left hand slap is a far better in my opinion, a bit of a brain bender to begin with but works fine in the end. Check out Stuart Claytons Transcriptions of the Level 42 songs to see how he does it. Love Games is a good starter.
16.
Hi Wal4string. I have the book but I'm hanging on to it. More than happy to scan and e-mail the pages to you if you PM your e-mail address to me :-)
PM sent.
17. That version is a piano copy. Not good at all. Cheers Anyway. I hope to be getting Volume 2 sometime soon, as and when it arrives I will let you know.
