Please do not hesitate to PM or email () me with offers or questions. I can deliver within a reasonable distance from the North East for the cost of petrol. I can arrange a courier at cost to the buyer. SWR 750x £475 The head is £1129 to buy new. Click on the link for SWR's product info page: SWR 750x I bought this amp 6 months ago from fellow Basschatter JPJ. My best guess is that it is between 5-7 years old. It has some minor marks on the front panel and the gain pot crackles but this does not effect the amp's operation. Included is a 4u hard rack, manual and the SWR effects footswitch.

I bought this for a project and now my desire to sound like a robot whilst singing has dissipated somewhat. The pedal is as new and comes boxed with the power supply. Check out the EHX website for a demo video What makes this pedal especially awesome is that you can set it up to take any instrument as the carrier input (bass, guitar, synths etc.) I sounds awesome with slap bass and a wah pedal! I'm looking for £100 posted. In box Side on Angle Box

For sale here is my beloved Conklin GTBD-7 7 string bass. I have to sell it as I have now bought an Overwater Progress 7 string, something I have lusted after since I started playing and I need the cash to pay off my girlfriend who very kindly lent me the money! It comes with a moulded foam case (more protection than a soft case but with none of the weight of a hard case. I have upgraded the EQ in this bass with an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp and a Neutrik locking jack, it sounds ten times better than the stock electronics. It is also fitted with gold strap locks and Overwater medium gauge strings (.22-.134) and has a scale length of 34" As you will be able to see in the photo it has sustained one ding on the back right shoulder of the bass, this is just a crack in the lacquer and isn't noticeable when you're wearing the bass. I will deliver within a reasonable distance of the North East of England or courier at the buyers expense, I'd rather people got the chance to try the bass out first though. I'm looking for £850 O.N.O. Please don't hesitate to PM me with any questions. Front End on Bridge Back Back closeup Headstock Ding Case

I bought these about 18months ago from SoundsLive in Newcastle, they're in great condition and come boxed with IECs and the manual. I can have them couriered at cost to the buyer or I can deliver within a reasonable distance of the North East of England. They sound great for the price and have a multitude of frequency attenuation options to tune them to your studio. I would like £110 O.N.O. or any interesting trades. +1 on Karnivool! Dan Briggs from Between the Buried and Me has the most amazing tone and he does awesome melody work round two very busy guitarists. LINKAGE

There certainly was a difference, one that was noticed by several others, including the vocalist in my last band, who never usually commented on my bass sound. I A/B'd it and without prompting it turned round and said he preferred the power conditioner sound, saying it had much greater clarity. I'm certainly not saying they're necessary and as you say in all likelihood unnoticeable in most situations but it definitely makes a difference to my set up.

I use a Furman Power Factor Pro, they don't make them any more unfortunately but it sounds like it's exactly what you'd be wanting. Link here I have A/B'd my rig with the power conditioner and it certainly makes a difference. When using the power conditioner there was a definite increase in overall clarity. My dad also ran his Naim hi-fi through it with similar results, to all the doubters they do make a difference. As mentioned there is the convenience elements and the usefulness of having the protection for your gear. It's certainly something you could live without though.

I's like to pop along for a jam, it sounds interesting. Where do you practice? -

I use a 1001RB at uni and it's not a particularly loud amp I've found. I think your best bet would be get yourself down to a good music shop and try some stuff out. If you really have your heart set on more power it might be worth thinking of getting a normal weight head. Most 500-700 Watt heads will fit into 2u and be easily light enough for a one hand lift. The benefits of lightweight gear are mostly to be found in the cabs, not the heads.

The SWR Headlite is really rather good, I've been using mine for metal bands. Nice bright punchy tone and loud!

I've got an MXR deluxe octave and it's great, best tracking octaver I've ever used. I used it with an MXR bass auto Q, MXR M80 bass DI for a little distortion for some synth bass lines on some live dance tracks I was doing recently.

I have a Furman power conditioner and at first was quite sceptical about it making any difference. I was wrong, it makes a huge difference to the sound of my amp, so much so that the vocalist in my last band noticed a big difference and he never made comment on my bass sound. I've run Hi-fis and studio monitors through it with similar results. They're useful to have about if you do gigs in venues with suspect power supplies. Most definitely not an essential item though, I'm not sure why you'd be told you would need one.

I have an H2 that I use for electro acoustic music, the quality is great. It's also nice and cheap!

The best free (as in comes with Macs) DAW for mucking about in is probably Garageband, which I'm assuming you've got if you have an iMac. You can spend any amount on an interface, ideally though if you're taking a line from the D.I. in your head you'll want something with at least one XLR in socket. As Ray mentioned the Line 6 Toneport interfaces are good, if you wanted to foray into ProTools, the MBox 2 Mini is good value for money, it can also be used as an interface for any other DAW.

Definitely try them out before you buy, take some music you know very well to test on them too. I have the KRK RP5 G2s, as do a lot of my friends and we are all agreed that they're amazing monitors for the price. You have to be careful when buying monitors because it's really easy to buy a lovely expensive pair and see little improvement over a much cheaper pair because of the room that you are mixing in. You might be best off going with something like the KRKs and spending the rest of your budget on improving the monitoring environment.

Odd that, mine rumbles away happily on the low B of my Overwater.
