  1. i love the sound of my darkglass B3k through my barefaced cab, its my holy grail now!

but its such a personal thing, people can hate what other people love, the vintage microtubes looking interesting.

i also really REALLY love anything tubescreamer based

  2. changed up my board AGAIN, more in depth details over on sheps blog:

it was a follow up interview to one we did previous (which is linked on there too, with my old board)
you can also check out my basses etc up on there, ive just started routing up a pedalboard for another project, which should have weirder bass effects (not just LOUD - haha)
so i'll get some shots of that up soon, it's looking pretty wacky
    lets geek out!

  3. ive used the Wh1, the whammy II and the whammy IV, all work the same on bass but the newer ones sound a little more "dry" than the old one.

if you want polyphonic pitch shifting/harmonies i'd look into the new whammy 5

otherwise, i'd recommend getting a line6 M5 (or above) and setting up your own pitch shifters with an external expression pedal, you can dial in any combination of shifts/harmonies you want, and can cover the stuff from the old bass whammy too (plus you get trillions of other effects), i've had best results doing this.

all the whammy pedals ive tried track the same on bass, the only difference for the bass whammy was settings if i remember correctly.

  4. i use the markbass, and whilst its a bit fiddly editing on the computer once you get your head round it you can create some awesome dancey sounds.

ive been 100% happy with mine, and im quite tempted by some of their other pedals now

  5. i did gouge a little piece out of the front of my s15 by knocking it on a railing carrying it up the stairs in my apartment block, can definitely tell the wood is lighter, similar kind of whack with my older cabs wouldve just bounced right off or dented.

still wouldnt change it for the world, i keep dreaming about two of them

I used to agree with this until someone pointed out that if a drunken punter caught your lead and yanked it - might be better to have the plug just pull out of the socket (jack) that throw your stack across the room with a locked connector (Speakon).

This happened to me once, so it definitely gave me food for thought....

what was someone doing behind your stack?
