so im currently using a pearce BC1 preamp into the effects return of an orange bass terror, i'd just like to see what other options are out there (the orange is light but the shape is wacky) preferably something rack mountable so i can get everything contained to minimise set up time. ive been looking at the genz benz shuttle 9.0, but people are saying there arent many lows to be had from it, anyone had any experience? i wont ever be using the preamp on it as the pearce BC1 is the god of tone so i just need something small that can deliver some nice volume and not take anything away (like oomph and bass) from my sound. i play in a pretty rocky band with no guitarists so i cant really have something thinning out my tone. so, in a nutshell, looking for small micro amps or 1u or half rack space power amps that will put out what i put into them, just LOUDER

ive got a fully flightcased [b][color=#ff0000]Ampeg SVT-VR[/color][/b], it's been gigged but the flightcase is completely bomb-proof and the amp is in perfect condition. i'd be looking at [b][color=#ff0000]offers around £1000[/color][/b] for it, less without the flightcase. ive also got an old [color=#0000ff][b]Ampeg SVT-II non pro edition[/b][/color] (used to belong to the bassist of the beautiful south!!!) , its just getting re-valved and checked over by matamp at the moment, but i'd be after [b][color=#0000ff]offers around £800[/color][/b] for that. UPDATE** now also up for sale is my American made [color=#008000][b]ampeg 8x10[/b][/color], everyone knows these, it sounds the business, not sure when it dates from, pictures to follow soon. the tolex has come off on one side and its a bit tatty looking but everything is in full working order. lets say[color=#008000][b] £500 for the 810[/b][/color] ill try and get pictures of the SVT II non pro ASAP but itll have to wait till i collect it from matamp you can see the VR in this music video of ours, its still as fresh as it is here as its lived in its flightcase [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhRHurqWql4[/media] and here's another video just for fun!: [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tuHfsXkcCU[/media]

i really want this, cant afford it! lets see if i can sell stuff quick enough to fund it! how are the lows on this? ill only be using it as a power amp anyway really if i get it

oh yeah it did, didnt end up with darkstars in the end, loads of problems with the darkstar guy dragged things out forever, got some awesome j pups in it instead, not even sure what they are but they're awesome!, im swapping the pup covers to vintage cream and ill get some shots up, since we already had a body routed for the darkstars ive given jon my jazz bass neck to make a sister bass to this with the pickups from my peavey T40 in.

didnt notice lovepedal make one in their mini range, it goes pretty harsh too, i might grab one of those

hmmm, does anyone know if there are some really harsh sounding tremolo pedals out there built into enclosures as small as the Big John effects "lil jon" series? or like the lovepedal mini pedals? basically really tiny! preferably with control over the width of the pulses so you can get that extra harsh blip/helicopter sound

some really nice boards on here, im currently re-jigging mine and should have some before and after shots up in a week or two, im also biulding a second pedalboard for some fun jams! ace!

grabbed a really nice drive pedal from ian, easy to deal with, no faffing about and it came faster than the speed of light! considering buying things i dont need because he was so easy to deal with!

There's an output on the back labelled unbalanced +2 or something, use that or the mixer out or whatever is on that side, into the gk's effect return or power amp in or whatever, you don't even need speaker cable, instrument cable is the if it's not between the amp and the speaker I've got 2 bc1's so if you have Nymore questions let me know
