1. i bought a flipster off a guy a while ago, didnt build it myself so no clue as to any differences he made in there, but it sounds pretty cool, but when you crank the gain it gets a bit too compressed and smooth, but can sound awesome and gnarly before that.

im not bothered how it looks! it sounds amazing and that's all i care about, i quite like dings and things. but now you've made me GAS for a cloth covered S15!

i dunno man! ive already got chunks of wood missing all over my S15 so i dont know how the cloth would fare better? but then i have no experience with it
4. some great boards! im currently swapping two of my pedals between boards for different bands (Darkglass Vintage and Boss Parametric bass EQ) and its so tempting just to buy doubles of them! GAS GAS GAS GAS
5. the fuzzrocious pedals in the smaller cases with the top mounted jacks will fit just about anywhere! i think the "ram the manparts" looks really interesting, check it out (and any of the others ry makes)
6. the TFR can get way too bassy too easily, the useable range for me on the tone pot is pretty small, goes from too bassy and smooth to way too thin pretty quickly, but there is a nice bit inbetween but yeah, the dist knob is maxed.

i love the way the cloth grille looks, but no way would that thing last on tour! had to go for the metal, i might take it off and spray it a different colour though.
8. any comments on the differences? im not a major fuzz guy so i only really want to keep one.
9. i realllllllly want a grey stache to replace the Tall Font Russian on the mini board for my other band, gotta find some funds

my super15 is the best cab ive ever used, i will never sell it. sometimes i even GAS for a second one!
11. ill be at Leeds so ill check you out bro! Tell Alan Raw ant from castrovalva says hello if you see him at the BBC stage
12. gonna check the Leeds shop for this today
13. i love the pickups in these basses, bot my t40 blades stuck in a new body with straightforward electronics (vol vol tone) and in more of a jazz bass position
14. we toured recently with a welsh band called Exit_international who have two bassists and a drummer, check them out

you should velcro the PS2 to the top of the power supply!

very interested in this!
19.
I did. Not my thing at all. Souded all woolly and, well, "vintage" to me. Not my thing.
ahh fair enough, yeah it is pretty warm & vintage sounding on its own, i have a massive 1khz mid boost before mine, which made my bass a bit harsh sounding without the vintage to soften up the drive
20. you should try the vintage microtubes! i can never turn it off!
21. i'd pull the other one off and then just re-calibrate it (place treadle toe down, unplug power cord, re insert cord and move treadle its whole travel back and forth)
22. i pulled mine off ages ago, thought it was better without them! its a long shot but i might have them somewhere
23. syb has dodgy tracking, ok for single slow notes though and has some squelchy sounds and nice bass wobbles (especially with exp pedal) i think the markbass super synth is awesome, loads of great sounds, but fiddly to dial in with the software (i only ever made one sound since my computer is broken) if they had some sort of iphone app i'd probably make a lot more. i did notice the markbass SS lacked some of the OOMPH that some of my other synth pedals had (pigtronix mothership synth) but it was the only one to sound like a 'proper' synth. i just blend mine in a loop with an OC2 to add in the fatness. it all depends on what TYPE of synthy sounds youre after
24. drive and octave/synthy stuff i need that!!
