1.
Please, make clear this is no American made G&L JB2 in the headline. I am selling a real G&L JB here in Sweden and get stupid questions why mine is so expensive compared to "another one on BassChat"...
This is a new one. I don't think I'm misleading anybody here my friend and I don't think I need to change my ad. The picture of the headstock saying clearly "tribute series" has been posted since the beginning of the thread and I'd respectfully suggest that the problems you are having are neither mine nor your own fault but more to do with less learned people in the world of bass knowledge. In addition to this I have said also in the ad it is akin to a MIM Fender, again anyone who knows a MIM bass should know it is not of the same spec as an American made. Might I respectfully suggest you ask your tormentors to read up on their facts and as thunderbird eloquently says, please don't blame me for their stupidity. Good luck with your sale and have a good day dude.....
2. That is absolutely gorgeous I love these basses. Have a bump for this bit of dingwall
3. Need to sell this b u m p
4. This is a gorgeous looking bass. I'd love one of these but I'm trying to shift a G+L jazz. Have a free bump.
5. Don't beat yourself up if you make a hash and certainly don't be the guy in the video in the earlier post. Each crash and burn bass line is a reason to plug in and play more. Nobody is perfect and unless you are playing for long spells in the totally wrong key, the only person who will really notice the odd bum note is you, (or some smart ass unhelpful guitar player).
6. I found that having realistic expectations of progress was a helpful thing. Realise that it takes time and it's different for each person. You may never be as accomplished as you want to be but don't give up.
7.
That's a Jb2 tribute. They are fantastic basses. I have the 3ts with maple board and is my favourite at the moment. GLWTS.
whoops. I typed jb4 bass, now fixed. I hate ipad keyboards
8. I love these. Such a great looking bass. GLWTS
9. That is gorgeous At that price I will just keep my eye on it, cuz I will never have my hands on it. GLWTS
10. I sold my ACG to Ralph Seamless sale, great way to do basschat. Fast payment and excellent communication throughout. A pleasure to do business with.
11. That's a gorgeous finish Harry.
12. Replied to pm
13. Neck is 34" Asymmetric neck and very comfortable.
14.
The Gallery. Not many Foderas round these parts right enough Michael, but then if you'd asked me where the nearest Dingwall was a few years ago, Ahoghill wouldn't have been high on the list either, so you never know!
o Considering we are supposed to be tight from ballymena two dingwalls at least within 6 miles or so was pretty good. Maybe some day I will take the plunge with a fodera.
15. That's lookin good.
16.
I've played 3 Foderas. 2 I wouldn't have given tuppence for. The 3rd was without doubt the finest bass I've ever had hands on. The fact it cost the same as my car didn't matter. If I'd had the funds (4 grand second hand) I'd have bought it on the spot. A truly religious experience. I left the shop reeling, literally speechless. In answer to whether they're worth it I could only say... possibly...
Where did you find one Fodera in our neck of the woods, never mind three of them?
17. There's a really gorgeous dingwall sixer on ebay at the minute. If I had the money, £1400 it'd be on its way to me now,
18. My first ray was one of these and I still remember it sounding better than the real ray I got later. Thinner neck on the ray is more my thing though, enjoy.
19.
I'm guessing an awful lot of it is paying the mental New York rent on their workshop. I bet they could be half-price if they moved to some derelict sh*t hole on the outskirts of Detroit
If they moved to some place else they wouldn't be the original nyc fodera anymore. Forgive me for stating the obvious. But i do agree with you. It's an exclusive club maybe, but persons who can afford the price are not connoisseurs of taste or more discerning than the next guy. They just have the means to afford one. I'd like to see Fodera as a bucket list item for me.
