If I was actually after a longscale Longhorn then I think the asking price is a very fair price for this. If an offer of £250 got it then I'd snap it up, if I was really looking for one. Am I helping? No? 😂

I was also tempted to put an offer in, but I'll assume my offer would be lower than yours (as I really don't need another bass) so yours being declined has relived me too. 😁

Nice Peavey Cirrus style husk - £50 in FY4 Lancs
Maude replied to lemmywinks's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
I was going to say the Mania VTB 4BS was very 'Peavey' but with that shape headstock, but the machine heads are in the wrong orientation. -
I'm assuming that's a DiMarzio Model P pickup as well.

I've seen pictures of him with what looked like a black one on Facebook. There was a debate as to whether it was actually black or just the red looking black under certain stage lights. Hook himself answered clearing the matter up, but I can't remember whats his answer was now. Not a lot of of help eh? 😁

(Un😉)surprisingly @AndyTravis didn't hang on to the Marathon long so it now resides with me, keeping it's younger nephew, the Eastwood, company. These Marathons really are fantastic basses. I've put 55-110 D'Addario NYXLs on and it is sooooo punchy. It really cuts through. 😎 Most of the pictures in this thread have been lost so it would be great to see any members Shergolds, or Haymans again.

I like that, looks great. 😎

Brand New Cadillac - The Clash, or that Alvin Stardust prototype that did the original.

Wow! In at the deep end. Are you going fretless or are you refretting it? Either way, best of luck. I'll look forward to seeing the progress.

I have invented a plate to be used to in the conjunction with high mass bridges called a 'tone mirror'. It screws onto the rear of your bass directly in line with the bridge and reflects vibrations back to the bridge, returning 100% of energy back into the string, creating an infinite energy loop so effective that I have to use an Ebow to tame it... ...honest.

In thirty years of gigging I have never played Mustang Sally. I may not be rich and famous but this has to be an achievement.

Inexpensive Stand for 9 basses/guitars
Maude replied to Jean-Luc Pickguard's topic in Accessories and Misc
I bought three of these on ebay a couple of months ago. They're really quite good, not the best but as long as you do everything up tight and don't abuse them they'll be fine I think. I've can't remember if I made an offer or the seller sent me an email offer (stick it in the your watched list and they quite often do) but I paid £50.25, so £16.75 each. An absolute bargain.
