  1. I ate them all by New Year. That's what happened.
  2. Good Morning Judge - Louie Innis and the String Dusters
  3. This Ole House - Shakin' Stevens. A recording studio we used to use had graffiti covered walls, often read while others were doing their parts. Amongst the serious and edgy scrawlings was this gem, "Shakin' Stevens is pure denim toughness!"
  4. The very prominent bass solo(?) towards the end of 'Special Brew' by Bad Manners. It's simple enough but after a catastrophic balls up once, it plays on my mind through the whole song, and you know what happens when you think too much about what you're playing. We do a long, offbeat intro and slow verse of 'Chasing Cars' by Snow Patrol, which makes people wonder what the hell we're up to, then launch into a full fat ska version, which segues into 'Lip Up Fatty', then 'Special Brew'. All in probably over ten minutes long. As soon as we start my brain goes, "Ooh you f'd up the solo once and everyone stared, you'd better not do that again". And ten minutes of 'thinking' about it whilst playing is a surefire way to guarantee you'll f it up again, to the point that the rest of the band all turn to me in anticipation grinning. B'stards!

    ID?

If you're not going to buy it, tell me where it is so I can. 😁
  6. That paint job is lovely, superb choice of colour. Personally I prefer the black scratchplate. If it was mine and I wanted white then I'd go for an aged cream or mint, but it isn't mine so ignore me. 😉 🙂👍
  7. Armitage Shanks - Sultans Of Ping FC
  8. Zoot Suit - The High Numbers The who? Yeah, that's right. 🙄😆
  9. Steinberger/Hohner 'Cricket Bat'. 😉
  10. Tears of a Clown - The Beat, (and some Smokey blokey)
  11. I've used a Suitcase and 4b extention cab for years now. Mainly used for rehearsals and the band where I solely play doublebass. Every bass put through it at rehearsal sounds great, as do acoustic guitars and basses. Fantastic with doublebass, lovely clear, faithful reproduction, and with an FDeck HPF some serious volume without getting boomy. In the band with electric bass I go straight to desk with monitors so don't use usually, but if I've had to, it's been great. I'd love the full 'Dalek'.
  12. The Battle of the Beanfield - The Levellers
  13. You'll Always Find Me In The Kitchen At Parties - Jona Lewie
