  13. I know they've been mentioned earlier in the thread but here's The Cure using just a bass, a bass vi and drums to great effect, and visually a bass heavy video. What more do you need? Edit: I'd always assumed this was Gallup on bass and Smith on bass vi, but the video (and a TOTP vid I just watched) has them both using P basses. Was it two 4 strings, or a 4 and a vi?

  16. I'm guessing it's an outside studio, as in garden room or garage or something? Could you fit a small vent like a bathroom extractor, but fit a low power fan run off a solar panel in it? It wouldn't cool it as such, but would pull the hot air out. The bonus being that it would self regulate, the sunnier it is, the faster the fan runs.
  17. A nice chocolate brown with a gold pearl in it would look superb with the gold hardware. But I am a bit weird. 😁

  19. I've seen that, or a bass just like it, in the last couple of weeks, but I don't where... or I've dreamt it up. I'm sure I remember the super cool pink sparkle. Very nice. 🙂👍

  22. Ooh that's lovely!! Fortunately Sandy is a long way from Cornwall or I'd be £350 poorer. GLWTS 🙂👍

  24. I think Three Imaginary Boys was recorded with the Top Twenty guitar. He then got a Jaguar after seeing Elvis Costello with one but was never entirely happy with the sound so put the bridge pickup from the Top Twenty in the middle of the Jag. Or something like that I remember. I think he was still using it, among others, up to the Head On The Door album.
