  4. I saw Michael Monroe's band a couple of years ago when he supported Alice Cooper. Absolutely fantastic gig! He needed a radio mic though. He spent the entire gig running all over the place with a roadie chasing around after him untangling the mic lead from amps, stands, and the drum kit, hilarious. Fantastic energy.
  5. I really like the demarcation between the wings and the neck and top. A small detail but massively lifts it visually. The whole bass is just stunning. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

  8. I'm actually thinking it's more metal than glam now as it is very pointy. Perfect for glam metal then. Is there any call for a Hanoi Rocks tribute?

  19. D'Addario Chrome's? Out of the 'bright' flats they are about the stiffest I think. Ernie Ball Colbalts are brighter but lower tension. I've personally settled on D'Addario half rounds as my go to string for that brighter sound but still retaining a high tension, smooth feel. Maybe worth consideration.

If I was going to source some original Hofner ones for mine you could've had my Schallers. I've realised though that the holes have been enlarged to fit the Schallers so no going back to original now without extra work. Hofner used Schaller parts when they ran out of stuff as Schaller was literally down the road so they're kind of fitting anyway. I'm not sure about mixing colours of hardware, if anything will work though I'd say the tuners might as they're on a separate part of the bass, hard to say without seeing a mock up though. Also on the pickup front, does it matter that the pickups are too wide? Presumably they'll be sat in cavities so the raised centre section of body is largely irrelevant, isn't it?
  24. Who did that? Someone just picked the entire thread up and dropped it in the 'Build Diaries' section. It could've landed on someone! ๐Ÿ˜ It was getting a bit in depth wasn't it? I'll consider it a promotion. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘
  25. Police Car - The Members
