  1. This one from us gets a reasonable amount of airtime on specialist radio shows and been put on compilation albums but has never been a hit.

  5. Probably '76 to '86 for me, and born in '73 so not my teenage years. Just so much great stuff going on. British Punk, second wave of Ska, Mod and Northern Soul revival and the way they all had crossovers. The NY Punk scene centring around CBGB's. The emerging electronic music. New Wave, New Romantics, Post Punk. The beginning of Hip Hop and Rap. NWOBHM, early Thrash, Hair and Glam Metal. Good old early 80's pop music. Styles were changing so fast. Between mid seventies and mid eighties there were huge musical changes. Most mid eighties songs couldn't have even been dreamt of in the mid seventies.
  6. The trouble with painting chrome is that as it's so hard it's difficult to get a good key. It usually ends up chipping and looking worse. Maybe look at vinyl wrap, or indeed any kind of sticky vinyl type tape. Warm the corners to shrink into place. That may well wear over time and possible mark/split over the screws or pole pieces but you can easily replace every once in a while if needed easier/neater than repainting/touching up.
  7. ENR72s are my go to string. I like the combination of low string noise, solid bottom and 'worn round' top end, decent amount of tension and last a long time, in fact I've only ever changed them if I've broken one.
  8. I think @niloriusmeant that a photo of the video shoot is not the video, and we're seeing photos but not the video. English is not his first language so sometimes things get misunderstood. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished video. ๐Ÿ‘

  11. What is wrong with my stupid brain!? The first thing I noticed is it sounds just like Cliff's Devil Women in the quieter bits. And I'm in a bloody Northern Soul band. ๐Ÿ˜‚
  12. Personally I'd go for the 1024. But it really depends on what you're after, comparing active with passive. I can't explain but to me the 1024 feels more like a 'real' bass, but that said I sold my 1024 and kept my 734a, but only because I wanted the active circuit. The passive need was supplied by my 424, which having had irreversible surgery had lessened it's retail value. I suppose a real comparison would be the 734a in passive mode compared to the 1024, which I feel the 1024 wins hands down, but if you want active then there can only be one winner. I think @Misdeehit the nail on the head with the comment on character, the 1024 has it's own tone whereas the 734a is a tad generic. They are both great basses in their own right though. So, a P34 it is then. ๐Ÿ˜ But then you have the P34 vs 2024 comparison.
  13. Deer Prudence - Siouxsie and the Banshees
