1. Glass half full and all that. This could be the cure for GAS we've all been looking for. We've probably all got enough gear to last out our playing days (consumables aside), so let's stop grumbling about new gear costing to much and concentrate on playing the gear we have to the best of our abilities.
2. I don't like the Beatles and will avoid listening to them if at all possible. There's just something about them I don't like.
3.
Ones entire bits are unwanted.
Like this?
4. The problem with sprinkling the flake on is it will take loads of layers of lacquer to bury it, especially if using aerosols as they will be thinner. Also aerosols aren't hardened by a chemical reaction as a two pack sprayed lacquer would be so building up many many layers brings it's own problems with it fully hardening.
5. I'd try wiring what you've already got in series first. It's free, reversible and it might be enough.
6.
You could alternate by fret -maple/rosewood/maple/rosewood etc That'll screw with the 'experts' minds.....
Or side by side straight down the fretboard. Obviously maple for the crisp D and G strings and rosewood for the warmer E and A tones.
7.
Funny isn't it, modern music isn't supposed to appeal to people of my age, but instead of the previous shock and horror of Rock & Roll, Glam, Punk, and even New Romantics, the current bunch seem to have rebelled by going in the opposite direction, whiney, twee nonsense (a.k.a. Coldplay). Thank goodness for Grime, Kate Tempest and the Sleaford Mods!
The majority of youngsters have got it too good, nothing to rebel against. It seems to me that all the good musical revolutions came from hardship, angst, poverty, political tension, boredom, lack of jobs and a general hate of everything going on around you. Which makes me think if all the doom mongering press are correct then we should've had something exciting from the yoof by now.
8.
Learning grammar.
I weren't
9.
Got my 3 today...they're still in the car and can't be arsed to get them yet ....do they come with batteries ?
They certainly do Mine worked well at rehearsal last night. The guitarist was playing out of tune, I threw my tuner at the back of his head and it brought him right into line. Result!

11. Used one on my doublebass at rehearsal tonight, it fits on the bridge and faces the right direction better than my Snark. Both of them rotate and swivel freely and tune well enough. I'm happy
12. Are the stone walls exposed? If yes then the uneven surface will serve to break up soundwaves.Modern flat, parallel walls are more of problem. I've always found suspended floors more of a problem than solid ones as well, they always seem very boomy. I'd go with Dad's advice and leave as is for a while and see how you get on, might not need to do anything.
13. Aria P copy (£40 s/h) with 1/4lbs and Chromes fitted. Did loads with that including weddings and beer festival with 1200 audience. I love it.
14. Both of mine turned up yesterday, haven't tried them yet but I'm sure they're worth a couple of quid each.
15. No furry tail or tuner. To be fair I'd be happy with either
16. I paid through PayPal so I'll just claim it back. Haven't had any email from them.
17. I have a horrible feeling I might have paid four quid for one tuner. When I clicked that link above it said I've bought one item and paid four pounds for it. It does also state one per customer but I didn't read that when I ordered. So all the multiple purchasers may have just donated some extra money. Nevermind, I'll wait and see what turns up
18.
Wonderful. Love this kind of thing.
Agreed Obviously appreciate the expensive builds by the pros but I really love the kind of 'make it up as you go along out of bits of scrap' type of builds. I think it shows real innovation and the instruments have something special about them when finished.

20. Yeah I got that as well.
21.
Mmmm, how did you manage that? I thought it was limited to one per applicant. Pray tell....
I ordered two as far as I'm aware. Clicked on amount thingy, selected two and paid four quid. I'll see what turns up
22. Can you not go through the PA and just use your amp for monitoring?
23. I know how you feel. I've just another band and have fifty songs to learn by the end of the month, including rehearsals and gigs with the band I'm already in. The new band is Mod, Northern Soul and Ska so some real fun tunes to play, but like you say, the easy ones seem to be harder to remember.
24. You can make the most of smaller lights if they struggle to illuminate the stage well by pointing them at the ceiling above you, it's usually white and will reflect the light around much better than aiming them down at all the dark objects.
25. Is it just home use, ie quiet? If so download the free Boss tuner app, lower the sensitivity a tad in the settings and Bob's your uncle.
