  1. I don't know your dad but just wanted to send my regards to both of you. My mother in law now has dementia, brought on by having parkinsons, so I know difficult and heartbreaking it can be. It's nice to read the positive impact your dad has had on the bass world so thank you. Just keep on keeping on and make the most of what you have together. Best wishes, Allan.
  2. I'm still loving this little device, it's just so convenient. I've set up a patch for fretless, kind of inspired by the bass on Pink Floyd's 'Hey You'. Yes I've put chorus on but it's more overdriven growl than shimmery chorus. It sounds great with my old fretless BB with flats. If you play a fretless give it a go and see what you think. Here's what I've used.
  3. Just The One - The Levellers
  4. Fascination Street - The Cure
  5. Offshore Banking Business - The Members
  6. Graveyard Stomp - The Meteors
  7. It's on the radio now. Candi Staton, You Got The Love. "I can't believe I caught her masturbating you". 😯
  8. Hot Hot Hot - The Cure
  9. Steamy Windows - Tina Turnip (terrible song)
  10. Come Out Swinging - The Offspring
  11. Fender tapewounds. Strangely very bright for tapes so keep a decent level of clarity without any finger noise. Are most tapewounds a tape wrap over a flatwound string, as the Fenders are tape over a roundwound string? You can feel the round wire ridges but they're not grabby at all, almost slippery.
  12. Vibrator - Motorhead
  13. Love Me Two Times - The Doors
  14. Am I Demon - Danzig
  15. Just Like Honey - Jesus and Mary Chain
  16. Would - Alice in Chains
  17. Don't do drugs kids... mmkay.
  18. But I do have an irrational fear of black P's with white guards. It comes from every cheap, nasty catalogue bass being black and white when I were a lad. That's why I bought a black and white Attitude 2! 😄
  19. I preferred the white body with mint guard to be honest. 🙊 But snot mine is it. 😎👍
  20. I was playing my BB1100S fretless earlier and thought I'd lower the action a smidge. Had a look down the neck and decided it could do with taking some relief out rather than lowering the saddles. I remembered the previous owner saying there was an adaptor on the trussrod that he'd left on to make adjustments easier, but had thought no more about it. When I had a proper look to adjust it, it turns someone has taken an 8mm 1/4 drive socket and drilled four holes through it to allow you to put a small screwdriver or allen key through and turn it if you don't have the proper 8mm trussrod wrench. What a genius idea. It stays snuggly in place held by the wood of the neck but turns easily. With a flatter board and some overdrive it absolutely growls now, mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah for days. Socket left in place, The trussrod nut, The 8mm socket,
  21. I bet beetroot would be good.
  22. One of these?
  23. I've had to remove it to replace side panels on pickups and it's probably the hardest/toughest coating I've come across. If you spray a bass, make sure you never want to remove it. 😁
  24. That's the stuff, black and green box/containers. It would actually be fantastic for speaker cabs but I reckon a cool effect on the right bass.
  25. With all the various amber tints you can get, I think your turmeric rub has the most authentic aged wood varnish look of them all. I wonder how UV fast it is. Have you used it before?
