Yes that's right, well some folks will get all uppity and correctly say we're talking about compliance, but everyone knows what we mean. It seems odd because changing to strings with more tension usually means the neck will bend more and raise the strings off the board, and the opposite with lower tension. If the strings are sitting lower this would indicate the strings have, in fact, a lower overall tension than the Rotosound's, but maybe feel stiffer due to construction. I'd certainly like it if Cobalts were a fairly high tension.

I want to try some Cobalts but I really do not like anything even approaching low tension, which I thought the Cobalts were. It's odd that you consider them higher tension than your old Rotosound's yet the strings are sitting closer to the board, which surely would indicate a relaxing of the neck due to less tension on it? I may have to just bite the bullet and try a set.

I don't know, but his technique has put me off dealing with him. Pick a price pal and stick with it. His BBPH was £1500 reduced to £1350 when I saw it. A day later it was reduced to £1100. A couple of days later it's back up to £1500. I was interested in his Eastwood Hooky 6 which was at £600 down from original listing price of £900, now it's £850. I can't comment on actually dealing with him as I haven't, but by all accounts it's not easy. He's got some great kit though, just a bizarre way of advertising.

My last LaBella flats had dark grey silk rather than the usual black. I'm don't know if they've changed or if they had an issue with black silk supplies.

I wondered why he was on the radio a lot today. I was never a massive fan of his music but will happily enjoy listening to it. Watched a documentary a couple of years ago and he was very down to earth and humble, especially with his fans after shows. No rockstar pretensions, even though he absolutely was a rockstar. RIP ... actually sod that, make some bloody noise wherever you might be Mr. Loaf.
