1. Is this still for sale and if so, where are you based? Cheers, Mike
2. Actually, it's very good and very safe, we're over 200 miles away from the conflict, playing in a Western/English bar that stays open very late so most people end up there during the evening. Having a blast, kept my GB's at home though. Mike
3. My day is great ta....sat in 26 degree sun, blue sky, couple of cold ones, beach in front of me.....it's a hard life. Month of gigs in southern Israel....can't be bad! Mike
4. You're right mate you do, been waiting for you to get back to me with a date for ......oooooooohhhh....2 years. And actually PJ is the guvnor, I'm just a poor imitation! Mike

7.
Like I said before, I don't think the EMG's do the Spectors justice in some respects.
Seems to have worked for Spector for nearly 30 years....you don't think you're just being picky?
8.
Hmmmmm, I'm still not a fan of the EMG's in mine. The sound doesn't do the maple neck justice I think. The EMG's have a very distinctive flavour which is fine for live playing when I get the EQ scooped gently but for solo noodling at home I wish my pickups in which had a slightly sweeter treble. Ideally a pair of Delano SBC's would do the trick but they're a different shape to the EMG soapbars.
He's never happy you know.....
9.
how true! I've dallied on and off with selling one of my older Euro 5's but each time I do I just realise there'll be regret involved afterwards and if I did I'll probably end up with a bass I dont like as much. furthermore I cant seperate my two in deciding which one I prefer.
Lovely, lovely, lovely......!!!!!
10. One more bump before Xmas....
11. Be my guest, I'll start off.....ARSE!!!
12. Is it me or does it seem that those of us that managed to get basses through Reverb in August got bloody great deals! The more I hear and read, the better it seems! Mike
13.
Rapid response from the tech guys tho, 1st class. Spector Euros rock.
Hear hear!!
14. Won't solve it but may ease the pain and help a little....try some glucosamine gel, you can get it from lots of places but Holland & Barratt do it cheap. Mike
15. Another bump for the hell of it!
16. Well put squire!
17. Hi guys (and girls), The five string basses were scored by both Adrian and I, Stuart was unavailable to take part due to work commitments. There was no bias, of the basses we were supplied with, the GB won hands down, simple as that. No alterior motives. If those of us who write for the mag weren't allowed to review stuff we owned, I wouldn't be able to review most of the stuff that comes our way. The fact I have a bass collection is due to the work I do and what I need the basses to do, which doesn't (and shouldn't) prevent me from offering a fair, unbiased opinion on gear for review. If anything, it gives me an insight into the basses, amps and pedals. Cheers, Mike
18.
Hi Mike, well that thought has crossed my mind & I have played the review model in flamed maple at the factory. They're really nice basses as well. Thing is I really need a wooden neck for this job. It really is the Sadowsky sound I'm after, I'm thinking. Although I did play a Sandberg Panther V at Electro last week & that was fantastic as well! Rich.
How about searching out a T-Bass with a wooden neck then. You're more than welcome to try mine out if you're down south at all, I'm sure Rob would do one with a wooden neck if you wanted one. Not putting the Sadowsky's down, excellent basses but considering your rapport with Mr Green, I would have thought a T-Bass would keep things simple and 'in-house' so to speak. Mike
19.
Get a Status T-Bass
+1!! Considering your love of all things Status Rich, I'm surprised you haven't thought about this. Or maybe you have and just didn't mention it. Mike
20.
Best of luck with that, Marcus I hope you get the finances there soon! Can anyone tell me & save me a call to the Bass-Bishop of Colchester... How easy is it to get front LED's retrofitted into a through-neck Status? Rich.
Very!!! Got them on my Empathy and 2000. Mike
21. Washburn AB series are a good start, I have a second hand AB40 that just hits the nail on the head everytime. AB models come up from time to time so just keep your eyes peeled. Mike
