1.
It's with regret I'm selling this; it's the bass I always wanted to have! Nov '79 body, Jan '80 neck, tobacco sunburst with a rare rosewood board. It's all Chic on the back pick-up, kinda Gibson EB2ish on the front. The two combined give a slightly sweeter version of a Stingray's tone. Control knobs are (front to back) Volume, Treble, Bass. Mini switches are (front to back) 3-way pick-up selector, phase switch and treble boost. It's got a few knocks and dinks as you'd expect, a new set of bridge mutes (I've still got the original melted ones!) and Schaller strap studs. It's strung with Ernie Ball flats, 45-100. It doesn't have a case; I don't want to send it but I'm prepared to meet up/deliver depending on area. I'm based in London, SE9. I'm looking for around £1495, no trades please but I might well haggle! Any questions please get in touch. Cheers for looking! Nick
Bad timing, otherwise I would be on my way east right now. Best of luck with the sale mate. Hope all is well. Mike

 15.
I'm with you all the way I'm in the process of saving and flogging off , to get a yellow Status. Headed 4 string Stealth - black hardware - and all yellow . I mean everything . One piece graphite bass - spray the lot - even pick ups . Will cost a bit more (so Rob informed me a few years ago , and I got the impression that he wasn't too keen) Just thought it'll be a bit different , though after watching an old Top Gear , where they had 3 supercars on a road trip (yellow , orange and green) , any of these colours may also be different . Any of these 3 colours would be great and they're the same as on my kid's duplo (lego) bricks . Yeah yellow - bring it on
Like this I suppose..... Mike
 16.
Whats the RMS rating and impedence of the cabs please?
Did all of this sell Bill? Mike
 17. Aside from the sterling advice already given, the only nugget I would offer would be to check, if you don't already know, if the person booking you is actually going to be there for the event. Have had experiences in the past of being booked for a corporate event by someone that works for the company, then find they've taken the day off/ been on a course all day so aren't in attendance and then having the half time dress down and the cries of " do you do any ABBA?" But if you go out and try to entertain the suits, you should be fine. Mike
 18. Best of luck with the sale mate. Nick is one of the nicest chaps you could buy a bass from so buy with confidence people. For those in the know, this is Nick Owen, legendary salesperson from The Bass Centre and a thoroughly good egg. All the best, Mike
 19. Good luck with the sale Gaf, a fine chap and a pair of decent basses. Bizarrely, when I bought the Aria, the seller said it was an Elite II but when I ran it past some Aria fans who know their stuff, I was told it was an R-80 although I think I've read somewhere that the two models are virtually the same instrument.....weird! All the best mate. Mike
 20. He loves me really Nick, no worries. Pics at some point, got too much going on gig-wise and workwise generally so it'll have to wait.
 21. 1 sense of humour for Russ please.
 22.
1 sense of humour for Mr Brooks please.
You Rumour is still heavy tho...................
 23.
Mr Mike B - I see one slipped through the net and has made it's way to you before going up to the Midlands... so... come on, some new pics
What do you mean 'before going up to the Midlands', it won't be going up there, not in my lifetime anyway.
 24.
You see. All the Allevas (and GBs) come home to the midlands in the end...
Yet again Russ, you get it so wrong......
