The headstock looked similar to my old Encore, so the seller must be chuffed to say the least!

To be fair, the german ones are fairly cheap at the moment, its probably better to save up for one of them.

Has anyone got one? Any opinions on these guitars? Seem like a good deal with a hard case + Teacup knobs + the pick-up spacing is similar to macca's first hofner (which I prefer). I have tried both the cheaper hofners (icon and contemporary) and the epiphone viola and didn't think much of them. Cheers for the feedback guys! The bass is very prominent even in Weller's solo stuff (See 'Into Tommorrow'), so it's a great band for a bassist.

Love these clips - the bass tone is simply god-like IMO. How dare Weller deface his 330 with stickers!?! (he probably had enough of them!)

Funny how in interviews he says he never used rickenbackers after 78, yet tracks like 'Wasteland' and 'Girl on the Phone' are almost certainly not precisions. Sorry for going off topic!
