No fan, never overheats, great little amp😍

TECAMP

I have the Puma 500, it is an amazing amp with more than enough power for me, it is very honestly rated. I changed from a TH500 and would not go back, this amp is deep controlled and clean. The taste control will let you dial vintage type tone if required but if you are looking for grit then look elsewhere. Paired with a CN212 it is comfortably my favourite rig to date.
3. This looks a really nice amp, I am sure that with Andy being involved in its design it will be a great piece of kit. It is about the only thing at the moment that might tempt me away from the Puma!
4. The AE410 is well known for being a punchy cab with a present but very well controlled low end. when I owned mine a few years back I thought it was great in a busy mix as it didn't try to compete with the sub lows that the keys were producing. I sold as I prefer the 212 form factor over the 410.
5. I have owned quite a few different Berg cabs over the years and would say that each one has its own personality, none of them have been 'neutral' if such a thing exists. Personally all that matters to me is how the cab sounds and how it interacts with the rest of my gear, if it is noticeably voiced and sounds good then great. Even as a fan of Jims gear this amp has limited appeal to me, in a live situation I want to plug and play with the ability to make quick easy minor adjustments... My Puma does that very nicely(I run it flat all the time) so for me there is no need to upgrade.
6. I am surprised that this is still for sale, amazing little amp! I won't be selling mine in a hurry!
7. I bet it out performs an 8x10😏
8. Stunning bass! Carey is the best
9. Great news, Jeff makes great gear and is a pleasure to deal with,
10. I know 2 guitarists with axe fx and they both swear by them, with a decent IEM set up and more venues running P/A I wonder whether cabs might even become redundant all together in the future?
11. What a stunning bass, I particularly like the fretboard 😍
12. Brand new unused LoRider nickel B string 125 gauge Cost £11.99 plus postage from Strings Direct, yours for £7.50 posted to a UK address
13.
What did you get?!!!
Yes do tell, pics would be nice as well when you have it!
14. For sale is a Tecamp gigbag that fits the latest face lifted Puma 300/500/900. As new condition (used once) 15.00 posted to a UK address (normally £20.00 plus postage) Thanks for looking
15. Price or trade value £120.00 posted to a UK address. Up for sale is a set of Shure SE425 in ear monitors in silver, they are virtually as new having only been used a few times for live work (non sweaty environment!) They come in the original box with the carry case and factory supplied tips (now used) and I will also include the original receipt from October 2014. I bought them new from The Headphone Company. Am only selling as I no longer play for a band that uses IEM's They are in full working order and sound amazing with a really pristine detailed sound, they reproduce what you put in really accurately and sound equally good with MP3 and as stage/studio monitors. Thanks for looking.
16.
Well, of course, you could always have a 'flat' piece of kit, like a cab, in your chain for example, don't like the sound so you 'EQ' to sound 'better' Now you may EQ it 'flat' or you may be so far off 'flat' you're from another planet, so the concept of flat is a bit ridiclulous if you have a tone stack in your signal chain. I seriously doubt many here could play a bass with a really clean pure signal.. That, in itself would be an interesting experiment..
I am not sure there is a "flat" cab out there, a bit of personality goes a long way though😎
17. I love my CN212 and yes it is voiced, so is the 212mnt and so will the barefaced be, that is why they all sound different to whatever extent given the same amp, bass and player. I don't buy into the whole flat response argument, everything has a voice from the guitar to the cable to the amp to the cab, the skill is in matching the gear to get a combination that works for you in your situation. Good luck with the Berg, it will serve you well👍
18. I popped into Bass Direct this morning and I hate to do this to you but Mark has some really nice Lulls (and other makes) hanging on the wall😂
19. I have owned a PJ5 and currently a PJ4, they are both insanely light and have beautiful neck profiles. You can spec the electronics to your taste and there are many different colours to choose from. Fit and finish is well above average and the necks can take a crazy low action due to the Plekking. I would definitely recommend them, it's just a case of finding the right one for you. Mike Lull and his guys are really quick to respond to emails and Mark Stickley is just amazing. It is hard to imagine someone being disappointed with a Lull they are great value at the price point.
