1. Just traded my AE212 for Nicks Baer ML112, great guy to deal with, cab totally as described and great comms. Thanks Nick
2. Some initial interest, am really wanting the Baer but would consider a Berg 112 or Vanderkley 112 as well
3. As new used once Fischer Amps wired in ear body pack, as new condition with carry case. Awesome quality, powered by a 9 volt battery or mains adapter, I bought it for an album launch where in ears were a must and it worked amazingly well This unit gives much better sound quality than cheap wireless systems. Requires an xlr connection (I have a spare lead of needed) Bought new for £149 from Thoman, selling for £100 plus postage. Pics to follow shortly
4. For sale Berg AE212, rated 600 watts @ 4ohm, weighs 25 kg and comes with padded Berg cover. Condition is really good, a couple if little nicks but nothing significant. Low end is full but not boomy, mids are smooth, and highs are hifi and sweet. Would consider trade for Baer Ml112 or £600 cash, can meet part way, cab is in Leicester
5.
Mmmm, I'm seeing a, Cilla Black hosted, tearful reunion in the not too distant future. Give me a few weeks to get all of the post Christmas stuff out of the way and we'll sort out getting together for some loudness.
Nice
6.
It's your HD212 that I bought from Richardd
I really loved that cab it was actually the 2nd hd212 that I have owned, having sold the original one because of its weight. I missed the tone so I bought a second! Powered it with a shuttle 9.0 and it was smokin! Would be interested to hear how it sounds with my shuttle 9.2!
7.
I have to say that I suspect I might like the HD cabs more than I like my AE's... but I am not saying the AE's are bad cabs, far from it.
I was never a fan of the ae112, I owned a pair from new for around 12 months and couldn't wait to loose them. Too harsh in the high mids not enough low mid punch, quite brittle sounding I thought. The HD cabs by comparison give warmth and detail with quite a sweet top end. Cn212 is like a mixture of the mid forward ae410 and some hd212 muscle, very hard to fault really.
8.
I'm the happy owner of fretmeister's HD112's and they kick like a mule! I'm also the happy owner of a HD212. This has a slightly more crisp tone than a pair of 112s; it's not hugely different in sound to my old 6x10 cab. There's much love in my home for the HD berg cabs (yep that does include the wife and kids). The only problem with the 212 is the fact it contains dark matter; well that's the only reason I can think of that something that size weighs as much as it does. It's not exceptionally heavy, just heavier than you'd expect.
One of the best cabs on the market, I only sold my hd212 was because of the weight, awesome piece of gear!
9.
I'm playing a GBE750 with Barefaced for years now (S12T first and compact now, waiting for the second one). The sound is great and the weight Incredible (for the cabs, the head is really bulk, I don't even imagine how is the 1200). The GBE eq is really powerful so it's easy to get a sound I like. When I want to have a more oldschool sound, I use my Sansamp. I think that with a such great head, any good cabinet will sound at least good, especially if it's not too shy in the lows. A neox 212 should be good, 2 of them would be AWESOME.
Clearly not a fanboy but some one with real world experience of that combination, great contribution
10. Hi Kevin Thanks for your interest, the eagles book is still here. If you can transfer the money to my account or pay by paypal either is fine just let me know which. The total will be £7.00, also let me have your address. I can post tomorow. Kind regards Ian
11. I have a few guitar tab books for sale going cheap as no longer used. All in good but used condition. Bon Jovi Crossroads Bon Jovi the early years with backing cd Eric Clapton play guitar with backing cd Oasis What's the story morning glory Mötley Crüe Dr Feelgood Eagles He'll freezes over SOLD Guitar chord Encyclopedia (very thick) Acoustic guitars an illustrated history All are £5.00 each plus postage or collect from Leicester Thanks for looking Ian
12. Stephen bought my Markbass bag, really nice guy to deal with, thanks Stephen
13.
Whilst not useful thinly veiled remarks are fun.
14.
I've tried a Streamliner through a Schroeder 2x12 which sounded pretty good. Loud as hell too. Nice compact cab for not a lot of dosh, but I don't know how the GBE and Streamliner compare, although I'd expect them to be similar.
Gbe is closer to shuttle than streamliner for tone, quite hifi and balanced set flat. Very nice amp indeed
15. Hey no worries, drop me a pm when you are ready and I will give you my mobile number. Happy to meet up either end of the city Ian
16. There will no doubt be a fanboy along soon to suggest a barefaced cab of some kind despite never having tried one with that amp and having no idea how it would sound! Lol
17. Am around 15 mins away, hoping to post some pictures soon, sorry for being slow!! Happy to drive to j21 if that helps... Ian
18. I have a Freestyle hard case for sale that fits a jazz bass, black moulded plastic with soft furry interior. Not perfect but more than good enough for gigging, fur lining is a little loose in the middle of the case but could no doubt be stuck back down. Key is missing. looking for £15.00 collected from Leicester Please note that the bass in the picture is NOT part of this sale!!! It there for illustration only! The main compartment is aprox 119 cm long
19. You will find the Vanderkley cabs have quite a flat response and cope well with eq, they sound brighter to my ears than the Cn 212 which is quite big down low(but controlled) and quite present through the mids. The Markbass cabs never sounded that clear to my ears, certainly not as good as their heads! As with any cab it depends on what source you are powering it with and what your tone goals are.
20. Just treated myself to a brand new shuttle 9.2.... Used to own a shuttle 9.0, this is fatter and more tube like. Perfect match for my AE212 and also HD series cabs
